That`s great John Carter comes film! I`ve been read every ERB:s Mars-books when I was young after Tarzan`s, and better bookseries you can look forward! The most thing I am vorry that are the main title role actor`s enough charisma, especially about John Carter`s role?
I remember when I read Mars hero`s adventures, the picture of John Carter I got was so fine: straight style handsome strong man(not a boy!) full of charisma and faitfullness. I`m afraid I doupt can Taylor Kitsch step Joh Carter`s boots. Unfortunately. But I hope that he and the other could act the best roles.
Best wishes and luck to you there and we are waiting the film!
Ps. 3-D why not also? Moneyproblem? Call to me:D

I'm particularly exited for the crew being hired for this film. Nathan Crowley has did an amazing job in "Batman Begins" and will bring a sense of reality to the sets. Along with Mayes Rubeo who also brought a sense of reality with her costume design on "Apocalypto".

I think we can see the direction Andrew Stanton is taking with the look of this film. Anyone agrees?
  • Stanton always references "classical" cinema as his influences, we saw a little bit of this in WALL-E, but I think he'll really come into his own style with this film. Can't wait.
  • Not to mention Daniel Mindel's cinematography. His lightly mocked work on Star Trek was what sold that movie to the masses. If that movie had looked too high gloss the whole thing would have come across cheap. I hope he brings and extra sandy grit to this film's desert setting.

    cant wait for this.
    tnx disney.

Polly Walker, James Purefoy and now Ciaran Hinds? It's like a freakin Rome reunion! God, I miss that show. But they'll probably be in it for like 30 seconds each :-\

I would LOVE to see Stanton be able to transfer his visions from CGI to live action film. Hopefully he can work his magic within the confines of an actual studio.

WALL-E being probably my favorite film of all time, I was already extraordinarily excited for this debut live action film by Andrew Stanton, but now, I can hardly contain my anticipation. Daryl Sabarra is hilarious. He seems to be graduating beyond the child acting roles in Spy Kids and the underrated Keeping up with the Steins, and I couldn't be more excited. I haven't seen him in World's Greatest Dad, but I heard that he was fantastic. The Production Design in TDK was absolutely FUCKING incredible, so I can't wait to see how this movie looks. If this script is half as good as WALL-E's was, this movie will easily be the film to beat in 2012.

I have a feeling that this is going to be fantastic. Stanton really is a solid director, and his action pieces in Wall-E and Nemo were so well done.
  • MITIOR
Where are the action pieces in Wall-E and Nemo?

So /Film's report that this was going to be a Pixar film isn't true then?
  • Mr. Me
Never has been a Pixar film, never will be. I've been sending corrections to people all over the place but no one ever listens to me. It was announced that this is a Disney film long long ago but for some reason some websites just won't listen to anyone that tries to correct them.

Can't wait for this, by the way. Stanton is amazing, and the whole crew seems to be great.
  • vinith
Sabara was hilariously vile in World's Greatest Dad. I don't think anyone saw that one coming.
  • dfsefwefwefwef
holy crap, that was him? hardly recognize him now that he's grown up.

he was a terrible actor in Spy Kids, lucky for him I guess he got better over time.
  • John M
What happened to Michael Chabon writing the screenplay?
  • MonsterKilledThePilot
He did a draft but I guess he's not getting screen credit.

This movie has a perfect production crew.
  • David M
Agreed. This has, altogether, one of the strongest cast/crew lists I've ever seen.
  • Chabon just did revisions to what was, in his own words, "an already strong script by Andrew Stanton and Mark Andrews"

  • AlexTamayo
I wish that too! I love following Lee Unkrich. To have Mr. Stanton tweet all the time would be brilliantastic.
  • Totally, the guy is awesome and his tweets were pretty damn funny.
