Geek Deal: Three Blu-Ray Movie Packs for $25

bluthreepacks

Amazon has some awesome deals on some select three Blu-Ray movie packs. Each of the listed packs below is only $24.99 each, and also comes with $5 credit towards select Amazon on-demand TV-Shows. That’s basically $8.33 for each Blu-ray disc.

I always find it amusing how these three packs are grouped. They usually contain one or two good movies and a film you’d never ever buy. But at the price, it’s probably still worth it for the two movies you do like. The Funny Guy Collection is probably the one exception, unless you’re one of those people that hated Napoleon.

Jock and Funny guy are the only ones that have 3 movies worth getting. Everything else is either 2 for 25, one for 25, or fuck off.
  • The only problem with these packs is that they often lack the full slate of special features. I don't know what the blu-ray packs are like.

That said the "Funny Guy" pack is awesome. I own all of them on DVD but I'm not sure how much they would benefit from the HD.

Also Napoleon Dynamite rocks. Debate me below.
  • The Blu-Ray's have the same special features found on the standard dvds and you gain alot to benefit with HD, especially the jumper/transporter/transporter 2 and IRobot/Terminator/Day After Tomorrow packs they all look fantastic on blu-ray if they are your kind of movies, 24.99 are awesome deals that is a little over 8 per title and i would defiantly jump on some if it wasn't so close to black friday im already tapped thanks to the shield complete series and it's always sunny amazon deal they just had

I pity the foo' who gets the Terminator one. I, Robot is mediocre but The Day After Tomorrow? These packs are always like that, a crappy mix. Maybe it's the only way some people would get these awful movies.. Like the other pack, Office Space is great fun, but Napoleon Dynamite..!? Damn. The War Hero pack seems to be more balanced..
  • Stupid Q, but are the discs individually packed in the original boxes inside the package?
  • Thrillhouse
That's not a stupid question. That would be the deal-breaker for some of these. For instance, if you got the War one, you could then hide Behind Enemy Lines somewhere else, away from your prominent shelves.
  • When I've seen some of these three packs at Frys, they appeared to be full releases, in full blu-ray packs

I love reading the titles on these movie-packs when I'm at Costco. The stinker always sticks out like a sore thumb.

I haven't checked the other packages, but the funny guy collection is $21.99 now instead of $24.99. That's no-brainer territory.
