IGN UK has a new four minute featurette for James Cameron’s Avatar which focuses on the human sci-fi tech hardware contained in the film: From the cryogenic drawers that the humans are put in during transport to Pandora, to the oxygen masks that must be used while in the planet’s atmosphere, to the weaponry the humans must use to defend themselves against the creatures on the planet. It’s interesting to hear about the real logistical and scientific decisions behind the types of aircraft used on Pandora. And yes, they do talk about the big robotic mech AMP suits.
