Peter aren't "Sources deep in Marvel Entertainment" near irrelevant since the Spiderman franchise is currently handled by Sony. I guess there must be some people at Marvel who keep track of what Sony does, but Marvel has a lot on their plate as it is. Just wondering.

I really like Anne Hathaway and I think she very beautiful, a very natural, refined beauty AND notably she is an excellent actress. However, I just don't see the raw sexuality that I'd want from Black Cat. It's not strictly a voluptuousness issue, either, but about how "she can ooze sensuality from her pores"-type. I really can't imagine ANY of the aforementioned actresses playing a femme fatale part very well. Scarlett Johansson, who definitely carries this sexual vibe, butchered her attempt at a femme fatale role in BLACK DAHLIA.

I think it is problematic when there's a character on screen who is regarded as "Most Gorgeous Woman EVAR" when I, as the movie viewer, find the actress not attractive. SpiderMan already suffers this for me b/c I CAN'T STAND Kirsten Dunst.

But the biggest concern in going with a body-type-match is to end up with a bimbo who can't hold the screen with Tobey McGuire and who can't act. Imagine throwing in (say) Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel or Denise Richards. Ugh. I'd rather a quality actress.

Monica Belluci or Catherine Zeta-Jones if they were younger would be good.

There's the girl in RUN FATBOY RUN and Krod Mandoon: India de Beaufort. She is absolutely gorgeous. Not sure that she's enough of an actress though.
