lost-season-6-poster-title

We’ve got a bunch of TV news tonight: It appears that Bob Saget is coming back to television with an unscripted travel show entitled “Bob Saget’s Strange Days”. Perhaps tired of just being the disembodied voice of grown-up Ted on How I Met Your Mother, and looking for something different after his failed sitcom Surviving Suburbia, the series will find Saget exploring off-beat portions of American society. The series is apparently an extension of his standup themes involving offbeat people.

Also, a long-lost Star Trek pilot was recently discovered by a devoted German collector and is now coming to the original series’ season 3 Blu-ray on December 15. The alternate pilot, according to the THR Live Feed, is apparently in “three parts with 1970s-style act breaks, an entirely different version of Captain James T. Kirk’s opening monologue (’But now a new task. A probe out into where no man has gone before’) and music that contrasts from the famous opening theme and an extended action sequence.”

ABC has released a new Lost season 6 poster (via TVOverMind) which features pretty much all of the past and present main characters. Click the poster below for the larger version. Let the obsessive analysis begin! (My theory: It was all the dog’s dream)

THR also reports that AMC’s new remake of The Prisoner has debuted strong at 2.2 million viewers (compared to last week’s Mad Men finale which got 2.3 million). It’s a good start, especially against the Sunday night lineup competition from networks. I haven’t seen the remake yet, but unfortunately reviews haven’t been too favorable.

Finally, we’ve learned from EW’s Ausiello that the upcoming Smallville TV movie, which combines two episodes, “Society” and “Justice”, has been renamed to Smallville: Absolute Justice. Word is that the two episodes will air as a seamless two-hour experience.

Where's Walt? They show Libby but not Walt? Whaaaa???
  • The FilmFreak
    Also, where's Christian Shephard?

(Also Rousseau and Alex, but there more of supporting)
  • Tetsuo_Man
Wait... where's Libby, I don't see her!!! AAhhh man there's been so many cast members.... I can't believe they included Mr. Echo... But at least my boy Boone got some poster love. I'm probably the only one who enjoyed his stint on the show....

    Locke is facing away! SYMBOLISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cynthia (Libby) is in the wayyy back in the pink.

(spoilers I guess for old LOST?)

They did get her to come back, who woulda' thunk it? Not me.

I thought she was still beyond upset about getting fired (because of that DUI or not, only the mouse house knows).

Too bad there's no Mira or Malcolm. Rousseau I can and will have to live with because of the reality of the situation of the actress, but Wa(a...)lt, that NEEDS to happen. I don't care if they use a stand-in, do MOCAP, juxtapose his old head on a midgets body, or even use all growed-up MDK. That plot from the first two seasons needs to pay off, or it's an epic fail.
  • Tetsuo_Man
Did you ever watch those Lost inbetween season webisodes that featured Walt? Apparently he's special somehow that ties in with him inadvertently killing birds.... they really need to explain that.

I'm sure we will get a Rousseau cameo...

    WAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLT.

Locke standing backwards is sadly not subtle. (SPOILERS)

Sad only that I guess the real Locke is dead or something.

    In the Prime universe.

You know, you have a point about the dog. There needs to be a reason for him. Some characters have purposes, but . . . Rupert is it? No, it's something else . . . but he is going to have some significance, otherwise he would have gotten killed long ago.

Or maybe Abrams just doesn't want to kill off a cute dog.
  • efearon
    Vincent.
  • I love Bob Saget — yes, I grew up on Full House, but I’m an adult now, and I think he’s hilarious AND nice. You can be both. I’m definitely watching this show; Bob hanging out with teenagers as himself just seems like something I wouldn’t want to miss.

I know it's supposed to look like certain characters are in the foreground while others are in the back.. but it doesn't.
  • Pathos Perks
Haha. Magic wand, drag to background scale size, cut, paste photoshop lose. Can't beat the shot of Michael with a stick though. :)

Still, it's the thought that counts! Wonder if the 'distance' means anything. Guest appearances for Libby, Juliet, Charlotte, Shannon, Libby, Rose, Bernard, and Vincent? Sounds about right.

Don't even get me started on "Locke's back". Ha.

Ahh, let the poster conspiracies roll Devindra.
  • ronisandy
exactly! it looks fake... too fake. lazy so lazy... looks awful and not exciting at all. check out boone and faraday... something not right there
  • That LOST poster looks like the one that one of the fansites confirmed as fan-made a few days ago. Hmm, if my battery lasts, I'll check up on it.

Edit: just kidding, for some reason I couldn't click on the thumbnail, but now I've seen it on another site, and it looks like it's the real one. Didn't mean to alarm anyone!
  • freemachine
Have you ever heard Bob Saget perform 'The Aristocrats'? Google it. If you don't laugh, you shouldn't be alive.
  • bamajuice
Looking forward to that Smallville episode.
  • It's interesting that Locke is the only person on the poster with his back to us.

...also that Libby is on it; as is Shannon. Didn't Maggie Grace say she hadn't been approached to return recently?
  • Barricade84
WTF is Michael doing there?!?! and Libi??? can't wait!!!
  • Barricade84
that is so cool, Lock is the only one not facing the camera.
  • Wah-hah-haaaaaalt!

Poor kid had to age. I want him back. They still need to explain so much re:his character.
  • CRASHkennedy
    FUCK THE OLYMPICS!!
  • It's all in Vincent's head
Locke has his back turned... significant?
  • BroncoBunny
There is a letter of the alphabet for each of them from left to right. A-Z. but not the doggy. Because he isn't human.
