New Avatar Featurette

20th Century Fox has released a new featurette for James Cameron’s Avatar on the Taiwanese Yahoo. The featurette gives a basic overview of the entire story (and by the entire story, I must warn you, they give away almost the ENTIRE story), in the process, providing a bunch of new footage I’ve never seen before. Cameron says something that I’ve been thinking since Comic-Con (which I must credit Dan Trachtenberg): this is not another James Cameron Science Fiction movie — this is Cameron’s Lord of the Rings… his fantasy/adventure epic. Sure, the story is based on a bunch of sci-fi concepts, but for the most part, Avatar is a fantasy/adventure. The featurette also features some other good soundbites, with Cameron describing the alien world of Pandora as “kinda the Garden of Eden with teeth and claws.” Watch the new featurette on Yahoo.

Agreed. Something about getting a clearer idea of the storyline as opposed to more CGI has me thinking that Avatar may have more depth than I previously thought.

hey, peter! how come you know, that they're giving away the ENTIRE story? storywise there's nothing in this featurette, that hasn't been in the other one, that came out last month, or the trailers.

Like, Raiden being the star for MGS2, or Assasin's Creed being a holographic recreation rather than a period piece?

Every time I hear this movie mentioned online and off I care even less about it. I hope it bombs.

I'm calling all dudes. We cannot let this stand. We most dethrone New Moon. This film is a piece of crap. A film with such horrible reviews, and just being boring doesn't deserve to make a $140 million box office. We most stop these tweens and stop them hard. We now HAVE to see Avatar when it comes out if the reviews are Good/Great. Yes, dudes no matter how you feel about Avatar we must destroy New Moon. AVATAR $145 million opening weekend!!!!!! Spread
