What Tobolowsky doesn't mention are the supporting characters whose names begin with "the" as in the subway riders from the original "Taking of Pelham 1,2,3":

    The Maid
    The Mother
    The Homosexual
    The Secretary
    The Delivery Boy
    The Salesman
    The Hooker
    The Old Man
    The Older Son
    The Younger Son
    The Spanish Woman
    The Alcoholic
    The Pimp
    Coed #1
    Coed #2
    The Hippie
    The W.A.S.P.

Wow.. I live in Santa Fe and almost all of that is completely false. Thanks for bashing my hometown.. You make it sound so horrible.
  • Michael
I live in Albuquerque, and everything said about Santa Fe is completely accurate.
  • Yeah, I was just in Santa Fe shooting a documentary and I have to say, it is one of the most awesome places I've been in the United States. Beautiful nature, amazing food, lots of art and history. Lots of Native American stuff, that is true, but that is the charm. That said...hey man, it is comedy. He bashed on my home town of San Diego last week.
  • Zachary
True, some things he said were true. But its just kinda weird that he would go so far as to say that everywhere had chairs made of bone and logs and that the town is run by lesbians. Oh well. If it seemed like I was angry, I wasn't. Just slighted annoyed. haha
  • Living near Santa fe, I can say Steve mostly told the truth. The problem is he fabricated it to be some San fransisco esque lesbian capital on an indian reservation. He exageratted just a little bit.

    Love the podcast though.
  • Chris
All good stories are exaggerated in one way or another.
  • another great podcast! keep 'em coming.
  • Great, great episode. I love all the fascinating behind the scenes stories. I'd be the first to buy the book "The Tobolowsky Files" whenever you write it. Now this is true Hollywood.

3 for 3 now on these episodes. Just really great wit and insight from a talented workhorse in Mr. Tobolowsky.
  • I am first time tobolowsky listener, and will be a long time follower. Finally, a movie/entertainment podcast not just about "Toe up or down", "3 or 4 Stars" or "I don't like this movie cause it ruined my childhood memories". Mr. Tobolowsky UNDERSTANDS movie. I love this show.
  • Fun stories, nice episode.
