pixar blu-rays

Amazon is offering one hell of a deal on Pixar Blu-rays. Basically, you can get the Up 4-disc DVD/Digital/Blu-ray combo pack, Monsters, Inc 4-disc DVD/Digital/Blu-ray combo pack, and Cars 1-disc Blu-ray for only $36.47 with free super saver shipping. That would be a great price for normal Blu-ray releases, nevermind 4 disc packs, and nevermind the usually overly expensive Disney Blu-ray releases. Here is how you get the price. Click here and put a check in the boxes for the three movies. Click Add to Cart. During checkout, enter the code PIXARBLU, which should bring the total to $36.47. I’m not sure how long this deal will be good for, so get it while you can. Thanks to /Film reader Ray E for the tip.

  • until tomorrow I believe, Best Buy + Future Shop has Up 4-disc for CAD$31.99 in Canada - I bought it for the DVD and don't even have a Blu Ray player
  • and FUtureShop has it in a Steelbook case
  • Tercotta
Why in hell are DVDs and Blu-Rays so expensive here?
  • Actually, I think the deal is you get Up and Monsters, Inc. for $36, but the catch is you also have to receive a copy of Cars.
  • jpants
Haha, very true. Though I'll certainly be taking up this offer in order to have the entire Pixar Blu-ray collection. Now the only available film I'm missing is A Bug's Life. Wish it was Bug's Life in place of Cars, but ah well.
  • OH, I didn't realize you get ALL of them for a total of $36 - yeah that is a good deal haha
  • Yeah, I was going to ask what geek actually likes Cars.
  • This one.
  • tvseries
Wow, my kids will love this, and its the perfect time too...christmas, no more trying to watch movies online in bad q...
  • Itri12
Ah what the hell I just did that deal for the first two and not with the Cars movie. Should have waited, should have waited...
  • Same here. Anyone think theres anything we can do?

I just sent them a very nice email asking to be given the opportunity to purchase Cars for the price listed in this deal.
  • This is really a great deal and is a huge step for Disney/Pixar. Might be time to get a Blu-ray player!
  • Budke
    Too little, too late.

Target already beat them to it, and with a better deal.
  • slim
    this made my day.

Why does everyone hate Cars so much?

Sure it's not Pixar's best, but that doesn't make it crap.
  • MickJ
It's not "hate," just indifference for a lot of people. All relative. Compared to the rest of Pixar, it just doesn't stack up for the most part. By itself, it is a good movie.
  • Thanks for posting this, Peter. As a fan of "Up" and "Monsters Inc." I could totally justify the purchase (and "Cars" would make a pretty decent coaster, too.)
  • ronisandy
Damn, I'm gonna order it now!! Thanks for posting..awesome... those Pixar BDs are so damn expensive, now I can finally afford them... sweet!!
  • ronisandy
dead ends on the 30th of November, no?
  • okayflint
Would have jumped on this if it was any pixar movie outside of Cars. Even with just Up and Monsters it's a good deal, but for some reason Cars makes it so unappealing
  • ronisandy
Cars wasn't THAT bad, was it. I enjoyed it. It felt more like a kiddy movie in comparison to the other PIXAR films, but still highly enjoyable.
  • okayflint
It wasn't horrible, I just never want to watch it again, or even own it again for that matter
  • ronisandy
Ouch... fair enough. Could you care to tell what about the film you dislike? Just curious is all :)
  • no
im with the other guys here... While its not a bad movie, Cars is just so unappealing.

I mean....they're cars. i'd rather watch home appliances, wait i did, it was called brave little toaster. that shit was good. first off i hate nascar. any kind of speedster car is just an excuse to get attention, so thats why cars picc me off. now making them alive...bleh. put one in a hick town with that cable guy doing voices for one of the hicks. just eugh. while its well made, and the animation is top notch, i just DONT want to watch it. Monsters inc you got monsters, finding nemo you got awesome fish, cars you got....well....cars. and thats just eugh. high quality pixar film no doubt, but the subject matter....damn.

I still bought this deal, cause i have all the other pixar films including the cool Pixar Shorts Volume 1. getting these 3 for that price is a steal.
  • theinsomniac
If only Disney made Region Free Blu Rays...
  • DC
I totally took advantage of that deal...

I like Cars, just dont love it. I think the problem is casting. Owen Wilson was a terrible choice. And lets not even start about Larry the Cable Guy. (insert facepalm here). But I will say that Bonnie Hunt is great and you gotta love Paul Newman.
  • WTF?! I just got my Monsters Inc/Up pre-order geek deal Blu Rays on Tuesday!? This is bullshit! Ugh!

I just sent them a very nice email asking them to allow me to purchase Cars at the same price i'm being offered here.
  • RosanatorDA
this is the first time ive taken advantage of a geek deal, im a little disappointed that i had to get cars, wouldve rather been able to pick ratatouille, since thats the only other available pixar blu ray i dont yet own (i dont count cars).
  • Ryan
Just a heads up, Disney has already released two manufacturer's coupons ($10 of UP blu-ray and $8 off Monsters Inc. blu-ray). Some stores like Target and Best Buy offer $10 off already if you buy both, so you can get these two movies for around $20 easily. In fact, Target has released two coupons for $10 off buying both (by accident I assume). I went in and they both scanned, meaning I got both UP and Monsters Inc. blu-rays for $10 total (5 each).
  • Thanks man...I printed off both Disney coupons and am headed to Best Buy and hopefully get a killer deal. Glad I don't have to get Cars after all! Now I just need a PS3...
  • Chumplunt
Just remember the Pixar movies aren't region free like many other releases. So count me down as a disappointed Australian fan. And there ain't no way we'd even see 2 Pixar movies for that cheap out here. Let alone 3.....
  • disneycars
This is a great deal for any Disney Fan.
