    .......................................WOW.......................
  • Dangeresquetoo
But OMG did use guys see this season of True Blood?

.....I mean....er......YEA THIS IS EMBARRASSING! I'm gonna start calling you /FAIL.

no but seriously....did you see it?
  • johndebono
Um... does a $70 million film from Universal studios count as a indie? (Inglourious Basterds) I know its not the normal studio flick but I'm pretty sure its not qualified for any independent spirit awards either.
At least they are trying right?
  • guest
    are we seriously discussing this?
  • johndebono
Well, I mean at least it appears as though they are aiming for less then conventional choices. I mean what does it say about the industry when Joseph Gordon-Levitt gets more credit from the People's Choice Awards then the oscars. Yes its still an embarrassing list but its an improvement (Remember these guys chose Hancock over The Dark Knight for best action film.)
  • Maughtry
    Who is Alex Baldwin?
  • That's pretty bad, TV ones are ok but the movie ones are just awful
  • Every category except Your Favorite Color.
  • Sockin
Glad to see Alex Baldwin on there, I hear he's great on 30 Dock.
  • Dangeresquetoo
He was good in Bio-dome too.
  • MickJ
I think they might have missed a few categories.
  • Retroqqq
Breakout movie actor: Where is Sharlto Copley? People’s Choice sure is lame.

This should have been TV ACTORS category. BAD REALLY BAD
  • shadow
I voted for him to, this list really is fucking pathetic. The entire "favorite movie" category makes me want to vomit.

And what do ya know, all the Movie actors are hunks who where voted in by teenage fucking fangirls. And every category twilight could possibly be nominated for has made it in.

    I'm moving to mars.
  • mbellerbrock
First and probably last time I've participated, just wanted to see Copley and Nathan Fillion for Castle recognized...
  • surgemonkay
"Miley Cyrus" Breakout movie actress XD
  • Twilight will win in every category it's nominated in.
  • Allm0st
    Sadly.
  • jasonb26
-how does 'dexter' AND micheal c hall get snubbed?!?!
  • gulsch92
Fail. But I still wanna see The Lonely Island receiving an award for I'm On A Boat.
  • I really hope they swing a Grammy because seeing them collect it would be awesome.
  • zoey
    poor kanye. :(
  • Can't a black man...... can't a SHORT black man get a break?!?!
  • Ok, I know it's called "NEW" TV Drama and "NEW" TV Comedy... but how the hell do you nominate for such a category?? A lot of the nominated shows are TERRIBLE and a few are even already canceled!!!
  • JoeViturbo
This list is full of fail. Guess there's another awards show I won't be watching
  • frelling_cute
Any list that Two and a Half Men and Heroes can't be a good list.
    Lame.
  • oneofthoseguys
The sad thing is, these people don't understand what an independent movie is. The sadder thing is that District 9, Inglourious Basterds, and (500) Days of Summer will likely lose to Tyler Perry.
  • Seriously, Inglourious Basterds is considered independent?
  • Because it was independently financed
  • Daaanielle
    Desperate Housewives isn't that funny.
  • acorey09
Movie list is awful. This looks more like a list for the teen or kids choice awards.

My god, what will they put for best movie on kids choice and teens? Can't get much worse than this.

Was "The Proposal" that good? I never saw it.
  • They make it so easy to not take it seriously
  • alfie
    this is the 2009 awards.
    twilight came out in 2008.
    are they that desperate??
  • mbellerbrock
I know this phrase is totally overused, but for the record I liked Muse way before they sold out to teeny bopper vampire lovers.
  • Cecey Borras
What about the cast of BONES?...I think all of them deserve at least a mention as well as the cast of CSINY.In my opinion HOUSE is being overplayed by Hugh Laurie and company. He is bloody obnoxious.
