Oh yeah, I remember those days. The cliffhangers for a few seasons of The X-Files were just so amazing that it became agonizing to wait for the next season's premiere!

its got the white backdrop of the LOST title card that was hinted at at the last season finale, followed by showing the passengers of Oceanic 815 getting on the plane, but then having the plane crash next to a highway (that looks like the crash from "Knowing").

That didn't just look like the crash from 'Know1ng', it WAS the crash from 'Know1ng'.

I just looked up that scene from Knowing and it was the exact same plane crash.

I'm excited and kind of disappointed at the same time. It's the final season! And it's the ..final season... It's like a summer holiday. The moment just before it starts is the best, but as soon as it starts, you're counting down until it ends.

Love the new title card! Man, Im gonna miss this show. I hope tv will change from here on out. There needs to be more shows like Lost.

i agree with you in one regard. The networks need to get over this whole 15 seasons thinking. There is nothing wrong with a show that is a tight 3 seasons. Better that than a lousy 7. Lost was amazing in that the producers went to the network and flat said they couldn't tell a great story anymore unless they had a date to wrap it up. and the network said yes and gave them a count. Compared to Heroes which is slipping fast because the writers had no plan to play out a great story over a half dozen seasons.
give us extended mini series, give us well written tales in 2-3 seasons. if you know that's when you need to replace a show you can plan ahead. Also stop relying on the crappy Nielsens to bank shows. embrace downloads, hulu etc. then perhaps good and promising shows won't be dead in 2 eps.

I'm far more excited for this show to be over than to actually see what happens in 95% of this season. Everything is just so overdramatic and focuses so much on 'twists,' that I find it very difficult to even care anymore. 'oh shi- locke is dead with two bodies' 'oh shi- the island is teleporting' 'oh shi- we have to move the island' dun dun dunn. plzz. everything has just gotten too bizarre to take seriously. the first season was the best because for the most part it is based in reality. other seasons have been compelling because they start to get twilightzoney with hope for explanation.. but now its just gotten so bizarre that people are going to have to accept otherworldly / unatural / tv scifi mumbo jumbo explanations for it all.. and to me, that stuff feels halfassed and unsatisfying. people who think this is a show written by god himself may be into it, but i think people with half a brain will confirm that the show is bogus as shittt.

Plymouth Air? If the LOST producers are going to use stock footage from a movie, shouldn't they have at least airbrushed 'Oceanic' onto the side of the plane? I hate it when they play with my emotions!

I have to believe that this is a fanboy made trailer. The producers would never include footage of a plane with the wrong airline on it, let alone there were no cars or an interstate on the island.

As far as the supernatural element being added to it. I have to say...if you didn't think there was a supernatural element to the island from the first few episodes in the first season, then you weren't paying very close attention. They indicated that Walt had supernatural powers, people are seeing dead relatives, a monster? then it turns out to be smoke? I fail to see the "science" in that. Come on guys, wake up.
