First Look: The A-Team Van

Photo removed at request of Fox

SplashNews has the first photograph of The A-Team’s new van, which doesn’t look too much different from the original television series. Click on over to Splash to see more photos.

Based on the 1980’s television series, The A-Team movie will follow a group of Iraq War veterans (changed from Vietnam) who are trying to clear their name with the U.S. military. They were arrested for committing a crime for which they were framed, and break out of a maximum-security stockade to clear their name . The original series, which ran from 1983-87, starred George Peppard, Mr. T, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz. Joe Carnahan is directing.

  • That's probably just version 1.0, before the van gets upgraded and they put nipples on it.
  • [A]
Exactly my thought.... without the retarded 12 yr old remark at the end of it
  • *woosh*
  • Nokoo
Let's also say the *woosh* comment went over his head as well...
  • Craigasorusrex
    They already started filming?
  • Adam already took my joke
  • Anrkist
De de de! De de de! dedale da de, de de de de de!
  • RJBlakeAAU
Do they even know who the fuck the A-Team is?
  • [A]
    "lol".
  • justrobby
Anytime the A team is mentioned, all i can think about is Family Guy

I have fond memories lifting that van up in the air at Universal studios.
  • Odd request, but is it possible if you could post comparison pictures between the original cast and the cast announced so far?

Just for curiosity sake i'd like to see them all together.

By the way, what ever happened to the 'Page 2' feature, always enjoyed reading that.

  • Christopher_M
I'm sure Page 2 will return when Peter has more free time...he's a bit busy with the film festivals these days... I enjoy the feature as well
  • That truck is just for Mr. T's jewelry
  • Yeeaaaah!

Back to da roots, man :D
  • raphnl
Wow, I'm surprised it's no hummer!

"doesn’t look too much different from the original television series"

    1. Stripe is at the wrong angle.
    2. Louvers were never on the rear windows of the original.
    3. Never was a winch on the original.
    4. Missing the red rally wheels.
    5. Spoiler in the wrong location.
    6. Chrome step rails.
    7. Chrome step rails on a side of the van without a door.

But other than that, yeah, they're exactly alike.
  • It is a black van with a red stripe and a spoiler. That's not "too much different"
  • fanboy_d
wow. that post plumbs the depths of pathetic.
  • Dr_Gonzo
They should add some truck nuts.
  • Egger_Buckland
Meet the new van, same as the old van.
  • D-Man
Is anyone even interested in watching this movie??
  • Frederik
I am, Sharlto Copley has been cast.
  • Goobity
How will it not be great?!
I mean, Hollywood has done such great updates / revamps of turning old t.v. shows into films!
Just a few: Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, I Spy, Dragnet, G.I Joe, Land of the Lost, Charlie's Angels...

Yeah, it will suck. Count on it.
  • I'm old enough to remember the show on first run. Yeah, van is a little different but hardly worth noticing

    Hope this link works

c'mon guys, show some respect, it s a classic !
    :-)
  • 10 minutes in the movie xzibit pimps it out.
  • danno
OK so Knight Rider's next on the list...
  • I think that it's a decent base to start off with. Some of the later images though will most likely differ though I wouldn't mind if they stayed with the same concept and just improved the general feel without harming the look.
