Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson has signed on to star alongside Denzel Washington and Chris Pine in Tony Scott’s action drama Unstoppable.  No mention of what character Dawson would play, but one would assume that she’s the romantic interest or wife of either Washington or Pine.

Washington briefly withdrew from the project in early July after Fox asked him to shave a few million off his asking price. Variety reports that Washington and Fox came to an agreement two weeks later, and the project is now on track to begin filming this fall.

Screenwriter Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Deception, Race to Witch Mountain)’s script is loosely inspired by true events, and tells the story of  an experienced engineer (Washington) who finds himself teaming up with a young conductor (Pine) in a race against time, with a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. The duo chase the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that could decimate a town.

The project has gone under two previous titles: Runaway Train and 8888, named after the CSX locomotive model number, often referred to as “Crazy Eights” because of two separate incidents in Ohio, one a derailment, the other a runaway train the film is loosely based on.

A runaway freight train traveled 70 miles with no one at the controls for nearly two hours before rail workers were able to slow it down by latching a second engine to the end of the train and applying the brakes. While two of the train’s tank cars contained thousands of gallons of the hazardous material molten phenol acid, the runaway train itself was considered more of a threat than the chemicals on board.

...one would assume she'll be playing some sort of female character who will appear in the film at some point.

No word yet on exactly who she'll be playing, but our inside sources suggest it will probably some kind of woman, or a lady.

My brother wants to know what board are you on and your name? You were misinformed b/c he is already in some of the parts. He is actually working on the trains, paint & body work, in the movie. I seen the pics of the train after he painted it blue, yellow and black. That info of the train colors haven't even released in the press yet so how would I know. He just painted them last tuesday night and I got pics to prove it. His truck & his coworkers are being paid 250.00 for their trucks to be in the parking lot to be in the movie. They are all going to be in the movie at his shop. Their using his shop b/c it does the less business and they can afford to close his shop down for the movie since it's not as busy as the others. I hope this information helps you out. Im not sure if your new or not but there isnt any type of company policy violation for him to be in it. He wanted to know your name b/c he just assumed that you were new and didn't know.

Gamama- not on any board im on a reg job i have been at wle for 4 years not releaseing my name sorrybut i asked the transportation supper jim hill and he said we where not allowd to be in itthats great if they are letting the loco shop guys be it but i have not heard from any of them about it who is your brother if he painted them and i switch them in to trains i might know him

he told me to tell you ollie, he says that is his nickname they call him there. He's worked for W & L E going on 15 years. He works on locomotive engines as a foreman for 3rd shift. he's showed me the pics of the trains he has painted. i believe their using the one that was just in the wreck with the red semi. he showed those pics. they were pretty bad. guy thought he could beat the train and it messed up the train a good bit, surprisingly he lived. but yeah the guys that are working on the engines are going be used as working on them in the movie. their shop is shut down for movie so maybe thats why their in movie b/c they still have a job to do. he's not getting paid to be in movie, only getting paid for their trucks being seen in parking lot

I want to know if they are going to need extra's in the movie, from what I heard they are going to need them but not sure? Wonder how I find out or what website?
  • Smitty1
They had forms to fill out in Port Alleghany, Eldred, and Bradford PA for extras. Many of our friends and family have signed up, but haven't gotten any phone calls yet. The filming has started on the rails between the NY state line and Port Alleghany. We are currently letting the film crews use our land in Eldred for equipment storage.
