    Love it.
  • iruvthecondor
it is nice to see he "stayed on target" with the idea
  • lobsterfancy
This really blows that AT-ST bed out of the water.

Though I never knew a kid whose favorite ship was the "Y-Wing".
  • Rydizzle
Right? Awesome idea and well executed... buuut... it's a Y-wing. That's almost setting your son up for failure.
  • my god, that house is extremely cheap compared to Australian home prices.
i'd buy that in a heartbeat if it was priced like that down here.
  • wazuu
whoa you call that cheap, man Australia houses must be mega expensive. I dont know If I want to live there anymore.

    Best. Dad. Ever.
  • LucioTortuga
No one who sleeps in a flying race car bed should have electronics equipment like that.

...And leave the Y-Wing alone! It's a good starfighter, just old!

"Her vagina smelled like the battle of Naboo"

Imagine if Nick Swardson had this bed in Grandmas Boy!
Then he would have had somthing to talk about.
"Wicked sweet Y-wing bed that my roomates built for me, it has a CB so I can talk to A-wings and B-wings"
  • Mike
I would be worried that thing would fall on my head.

If you read the ad for the house you'll not that they have a salt-water (saline) swimming pool, which I find more intriguing than a stupid Star Wars themed bedroom. If I moved in, I'd gut that friggin' room.

woah! i live in visalia, california! i didn't know this was in my town!

I think this was more of a gift for the dad than the kid. lol
  • As the builder of the Y-wing room, I would like to squash the rumor that it’s a fake... I assure you it is VERY real! Our family has been amazed by the attention the room is getting and have laughed long and hard at some of your comments! Thanks for the kinds words...and the laughs! So for those who asked, here’s some more info: We’ve been in this house for approximately 4 years but we had to wait for it’s completion for about 21/2 years before that. IT IS MY SONS ROOM!!! He is now 14 but WE, (yes...he and I BOTH) have been planning, dreaming and designing it for almost 7 years!!! The Star Wars theme was his idea (the loft/ship bed was mine). Since I have built watercraft in the past, I knew I could build a structurally sound spaceship too! LOL So, after taking into consideration the size and layout of the room WE decided on the Y-wing. It took about a year of weekend warrior building to complete and was designed to give as much floor space as possible so my sons friends could sleep over, hang out or play video games. The room is 11x13 with 9 foot ceilings. The underbelly is 6 feet off the floor, leaving about 2 1/2 feet above the bed. Although the majority of the construction fell to me, the whole family (including my wife) got involved in the finishing touches! (I know, it’s shocking I’m married right?) Finally, to answer the question of why we are selling I would just say, we too have been affected by the economy and feel the need to downsize our lives and live within our means! We have lived the American Dream and are now looking to put our time, energy and money into helping those who have lost everything in the economic crash! Our area of California has been especially hard hit and we know there is so much more we could do to help people if we weren’t so tied down with debt! So...thanks for the interest, you have made this Dad feel special and a teen boy feel like a star!!! God Bless!

  • That's one lucky kid.

That's a really cool looking $350,000 form of brith control... Gauranteed to keep your sons out of trouble.
  • I <3 this and want the house :D

Oh I LOVED themed rooms!! My son has an ocean room with 3-D sharks and waves all over his walls and his bed is a loft bed that looks like a pier. My girls have themed rooms too. Kids and their friends love it and it's something they will never EVER forget =)ch
  • Mark
That's incredible! First rate job and looks like a lot of fun. If I had the room to work on, I'd make sure that the Y-Wing cockpit had a game console in it the son can play while sitting up there. :)

I live for decorating and have seen a million theme bedrooms. This is by far one of the coolest, most unique, awesome and truely kid centered designs I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
