StopMo is a Stopmotion and 3D short film made by five students at Supinfocom Arles in 2008. The story follows an archaeologist who “gives life back to an FX cinema studio that was buried under the ground,” resulting in a battle between a stopmotion animated King Kong and a computer animated T-Rex from Jurassic Park. There are also a few obvious references to some of our favorite films. Watch the short film after the jump.

    Stan Winston had nothing to do with King Kong. Ray Harryhausen, however, did.

    My thoughts exactly. The parts that were good about each side worked really well on their own in this video. When combined-not so much.
