500 Days of Summer

If you read the site regularly, than you know that we fell in love with this film at Sundance called 500 Days of Summer. It’s a wonderful indie comedy about falling in love and breaking up. It’s a Fox Searchlight release, which means they are doing their patented platform roll-out, which means that it may not hit your neck of the woods the same time that it hits some of the larger cities. I thought I’d pass along this release schedule for those interested, which gives you a good idea of when 500 Days might be hitting a screen near you.

    i'm from winnipeg cory, we didn't even get brother bloom, so stop complaining and go to toronto where everything plays. at least you've got the within close proximity to a major movie hub.

    Odd that Winnipeg would not get limited release movies. It is twice the size of most of the cities in the August 7th list. Either way Toronto is still a 4 hour drive for me. Too long just to see a movie. Ottawa is closer but it's not even getting it.

    Great, Great movie just saw it last night in Bellevue, wa. It was very true look into relationships which i love when a movie can accomplish that.

    "(500) Days of Summer" is my second-favorite movie of 2009 (with the first being "Up"). I can't wait to see it again.

    I wonder what theatre it will be at? I would normally assume Southroads 20 for a limited release but I noticed Starworld 20 had a bunch of promo stuff up in their lobby for it.

    its opening next week here in Norwalk, Connecticut. Just got back from the Hurt Locker which opened tonight. Please, please dont encourage michael bay with your money, see this movie instead. Oh right, this is a 500 days of summer post...uhh...JGL is a pretty good actor.

  • Ah thanks, Peter! I've been looking for the release dates around their sites and online but hadn't turned anything up, so this is perfect for me to know when to expect it here in AZ. I absolutely loved this movie at our local film festival, Killer Acting, Killer Soundtracks, and really all you need to say is Zooey Deschanel. Mmm. It'll be great to finally get to see this film again without Fox breathing down my neck about piracy and watching me with those night vision goggles! (not that I'd pirate this awesome movie)

    Does anybody know if Dayton is Dayton, OH? I do not know of any bigger cities Dayton, mostly because I grew up there and you only hear things about your own town.
