Jennifer’s Body Green Band Movie Trailer

Jennifer's Body

Earlier this week you watched the red band trailer for for Jennifer’s Body, now check out the PG-Rated Green Band trailer which was just released online. Written by Academy Award winner Diablo Cody and directed by Karyn Kusama, the film tells the story of a small-town high school hottie Jennifer (Megan Fox) who is possessed by a hungry demon and begins eating boys.

The new trailer features an introduction from Megan Fox, and lacks some of the more sexual visuals, a Thai joke and hipster music of the red band. Basically, the trailer is cut to appeal to the masses. Watch the trailer embedded after the jump, and tell me what you think in the comments below.

The red band trailer got great response, but the hatred for Diablo Cody is still running at a high, which I honestly don’t understand. Cody just tweetedSome guy in Idaho just tweeted that I’ve ruined cinema. Already? Had no idea I was so hugely influential. Suck it, Truffaut!” … “Love the idea that one person who doesn’t even DIRECT can singlehandedly destroy an industry. I’m like GM killing the streetcar!”

Watch the trailer in High Definition on Yahoo. Jennifer’s Body hits theaters on September 18th 2009.

I don't understand the long pause on the musical acts at the end of the trailer. Do they only want 15 year olds (who technically cannot buy tickets) to see this for the "totally awesome" music? Besides that. I am indifferent to this trailer, and I will not see this movie because, while they tease it quite a few times, I know that Megan Fox is not naked in it. Gotta have principals, right?
  • Happy_Evil_Dude
Yes Diablo Cody is one of the most annoying people, not only in cinema, but in the entertainment industry as a whole, and not least because of her unbearable cockiness... I would take twenty Heidi Montags and Spencer Pratts over one Diablo Cody...Yes, I said it.
  • Peter
    AGREED.
  • I'm slightly amused at the jump cut in the introduction that seems to combine what are two very basic phrases.
  • what do you know? a second trailer and it still looks stupid
  • quintushalls
I've seen Diablo Cody nude, so that makes up for horrible writing in my book. Ladies, get nude and I won't hate you.
  • Dac
Heh, so now we have Juno fighting demons! I cant complain, I had Juno and Daniel Plainview fighting Anton Chigur in my spec script, so crazy settings for Juno are appreciated!

All craziness aside, This looks like it could be a half decent horror flick, just, not something from an Academy Award winning writer. Although to be honest Diablo Cody isn't your usual Academy Award winning writer.
  • Hate Juno, but this actually doesn't look that bad, but I do wish that at the end they didn't show the one girl in prison. Mainly because it gives me a guess at the end of the story that megan fox frames her or something like that
  • rapistwerewolves
well, unless they changed the structure of the script it is made pretty clear what happens at the end at the very start of the film. It was told in flashbacks...
  • oh that makes sense then, i didn't read the script so thanks for clearing that up
  • rapistwerewolves
I don't understand why so many people seem to feel threatened by Diablo Cody...it is starting to get pretty hilarious. She is a great talent with a lot fans both in and outside the entertainment industry...she isn't going anywhere, learn to deal with it and move on with your lives.
  • kingbry7
Why does the fact that people hate her equate to people feeling threatened by her? I'd also disagree that she's a great talent. My personal feelings for her aside, she's only had one hit. JENNIFER'S BODY could be a complete miss for all we know, so don't say that "she isn't going anywhere" until she has cemented herself as something more than a one hit wonder.
  • rapistwerewolves
she has a TV show a lot of people enjoy. No, not liking her does not equate to being threatened...but the personal vendetta people, you included, seem to have against her does make you look as though you feel threatened. If you hate her, fine. Move on with your life, she isn't going anywhere. Get over it. People can only annoy you if you choose to let them.
  • kingbry7
I'll admit that I forgot about her TV show, and a great deal of people do have a personal vendetta about her. Move on with your life, they aren't going anymore. I care more about her screenwriting style rather than her as a person. Her personality is just the icing on her annoying bitch cake. Just as annoying as her are the people, you included, who constantly lick her ass.
  • Sam E.
Not liking her does not equate to feeling threatened by her but at the same time hating the fact that she is working and that people watch her movies does seem a little paranoid. Come on even if you don`t like Cody she is not exactly the least talented person working hollywood.
  • kingbry7
I will certainly agree that there are less talented people, and I wouldn't say that I hate the fact that she's working. I will say that I hated everything about the way that JUNO was written. It was all just so fake. She has to tone down that super-hip dialogue before she can even be considered as great as someone people say she is.
  • Sam E.
A lot of humor comes from exaggeration, I personally like the fact that her dialogue is over the top and a little crazy. I don`t particularly want comedies that are `toned down`. It is expected in most comedy that the characters not real people but stereotypes of real people, I see nothing wrong with this.

Also, I`m not sure how this relevant to the trailer.
  • kingbry7
@Peter: maybe there's a lot of hate because her first movie was poorly written, and then she won an oscar that wasn't deserved. add to that the fact that she's just plain annoying. other than those things, yeah, she's great.
  • caleb
    well said
  • mikeyclt
So a 93 on rotten plus 150 million dollars at the box office is considered poorly written and undeserved? Crash beating Good night and good luck, Match point, Syriana, and the squid and the whale for best original screenplay... now that has a legit argument
  • Sam E.
There is more to writing than dialogue. Even if you didn`t like the dialogue, the movie had well developed characters, creative plot twists, and good use of flashbacks. It wasn`t poorly written.
  • kingbry7
Yes, there is more to writing than dialogue, but sometimes that dialogue can be so bad that it undermines everything else. Some of the characters were developed, but a lot of that development was hampered by the horribly unrealistic way they were speaking. I don't know what creative plot twists you're referring to. Cody basically took a generic idea, added nothing new to it and made it stupid and "hip". I stand by poorly written.
  • Sam E.
Really...did you watch the movie? There were various smaller ones but the major one was the relationship between Vanessa and Mark relative to Juno. That was one of the most complicated and in someways strangest plot developments in any comedy. I get that you didn`t like the dialogue but there`s no need to deny that the plot had creative and unexpected elements in it.

Also, while some movie dialogue maybe less realistic viritually no movie dialogue is truely realistic.
  • kingbry7
Yeah, it looks like you and I just aren't going to see eye to eye on this movie, because the twist with Vanessa and Mark was extremely obvious from their introduction. There was really no other place that story line could have ended up.

And to your point about dialogue, I do agree that no dialogue is truely realistic, but to me the goal is to create the most realistic feel you possibly can so that the audience can connect to the characters. The easiest way to fail at creating this connection is to have unrealistic dialogue.
  • Sam E.
I don`t want to delve too much into the plot details. I wasn`t exactly talking about them breaking up though and even if it was predictable it was still thoroughly more complicated than the content of most comedies.

Also, concering dialogue. What are talking about? No, it is not the point of dialogue in viritually all hollywood films and most movies in general is primarily to move a plot along, give character insights and to add dramatic or comedic tone not to reflect a realistic interaction. The exception is neo-realist cinema such like the 400 blows which tries to recreate truely realistic interactions.
  • kingbry7
Also, I think this trailer makes the movie look like real crap. I really dug the tone of the red band, and I guess that's a better indication of the film, but this one really took the wind out of my sails.
  • Danisgod6491
Why does she light her tounge on fire?
  • kingbry7
because that's what flesh eating demons do?
  • Kuillin
This looks better than the Drag Me to Hell movie you all were salivating over.
  • obviously you didn't see drag me to hell then because it was great
  • Lance_HBomb
Fail- Drag Me to Hell was actually good. Now cut that elitist shit.
  • CheshireAna
Still hate Megan Fox, the movie still looks like crap, still planning on skipping out on it. What else is new?
  • it looks to me like a bad hollywood version of "teeth", they're are pretty different, but teeth actually looked good even as a trailer.
  • StephL
The red band trailer has a few more jokes, a bit more skin and "shock value" moments... not that different, although I do prefer the red band. As for the movie, hot cheerleader eats boys for dinner... I dunno, go with it! This could be fun. Megan Fox looks hot as always (not going to hold that against her) and Amanda Seyfried is a nice balance as a sidekick. I liked Juno so I'm going to give this one a shot.
  • slurpee
I like this trailer. The red band one just has shock value tidbits added which to me doesn't make it better... and like you said dag-yo... who knows if Megan Fox is going to show skin but she's nice to look at regardless.
  • Mr Meh
How insanely cool is that Waitresses song? lol
  • ake
This trailer doesn't show off the sardonic wit that is in the script. I'm cautious, but I think this will be a bearable movie at least.
  • splashyC
I like both trailers but the green band is better, more on the other characters and seems to flow more. BTW, I lit my tongue on fire and it healed so... should I start eating boys now?
  • jamie
god, that diablo bitch is even annoying via twitter
  • george
Do you think that she was making snarky comments when giving 15 dollar blowjobs in the back alley behind the strip club she used to work at?
  • Sam E.
I hadn`t seen the first trailer because I have been traveling, only have access to public computers, and was hesitant to watch the red band in a public computer lab. Anyways, if nothing else this certaintly seems to be one of the more original takes on the horror genre in recent years. Though one can`t help but wondering if there is a certain freudian subtext given the Cody`s background.
  • Myri
    Boys. It's what's for dinner.

This looks like a silly, fun horror movie. Just go with it! I like the focus on Amanda and other characters in this trailer. So much venom, for a screenwriter no less... Who cares?
  • tom
    Not having it. Looks stupid.

I like Diablo Cody enough, but I do not like Megan Fox one bit. Talk about annoying.

    Anyway, this looks dumb.
  • Sean
Who says "...Yahoo" like that? With the head tilted down, cheeks sucked in and lips pouting, right at the end? Ya-hOoh. Oh, Jesus give me break. If there's one thing that will be annoying in this film it will be her - Megan Fox.

About the trailer though. I don't think the look or style of the directing fits the writing. It doesn't look like a purposely bad/ campy movies. It just looks bad... like those 'scary' movies no ones heard of, with actors you never heard of, presented by Wes Craven.

Sam Raimi, or Tim Burton or the guy who did Land of the Lost would of been cool.
