  • David Della Rocco (Rocco)

  • Alright! I hope the movie turns out to be good.
  • theDoug
Here's to hoping he doesn't ruin he chance a second time.
  • bomberman
I'll make sure to attend with my bag of tomatoes for Troy Duffy.
  • I've always thought the first film was truly one of the worst films I've ever seen. I'm not being funny when I ask what the appeal of the movie is.
  • Agreed.
  • beautifulderek
Thank you. This flick sucks, scrote.
  • TOOLBOXHERO1977
THE ONLY REASON YOU THINK THE FIRST ONE SUCKED IS YOU ARE SIMPLE MINDED
  • Kazaz
    Why... please tell me why?

Willem Dafoe swimming in classical music while calmly figures out crimes, pure elegence. Plus, nothing like a good old Boston crime flick.
  • ReverendXero
Helps if you are Irish and not a scum bag.
  • bomberman
yes... to throw. not to give as a gift
  • I've been waiting years for this
  • mchops
same here. it's about time. glad the same two main actors are in it but what about the gay detective? dude from spiderman?
  • poodlered
Wow, you don't know who Willem Dafoe is? That's sad...
  • jason B
jesus christ that's willem dafoe. i think peter should revoke your/film access for that one.
  • Stricken
Loved the first can't wait. Hopefully almost a full decade since the original Troy Duffy can make something just as awesome as the original or better
  • Andrew
The first movie was complete crap. I mean, the violence was entertaining, but Troy Duffy is an asshole and a hack, and the first movie was way overrated. It's a "cult classic" only among hipster college kids and the idiots at my old high school
  • Benjamin
Hipster kids? I think they've moved on to John Cassavetes, Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini. This is the kind of stuff they piss on and claim to hate now.

All the high school kids finding Tarantino latch onto these kinda flicks. I love Tarantino, but this stuff kinda feels like a bastard child of the comedic crime films of the 90's.

Troy Duffy is someone I'd fucking drink with, though.
  • Andrew
He seems like an interesting guy, the same way Tucker Max is interesting but his stories are the same after a while and he seems like an asshole. I would have a beer with him, though
  • em
    you're such a fool.
  • Finally.
  • brewer
I'm sure douchebags of the world are lining up already for this crap!
  • TOOLBOXHERO1977
HEY I'M NO DOUCHEBAG,BUT I WOULD WAIT OUTSIDE THE SHOW TO SEE IT
  • Brian
so i watched the first one for the first time on thursday. ive seen it 8 times now. am soooo fucking hooked on it! 1. i believe that it should not have a sequel. this is one of those films that should not be touched.. like the crow... wich is being fucked six ways from sunday now with a remake...
but where is william defoe? why is he not in it..
lets just pray that the McManus brothers kick ass like last time. and this doesnt turn out to be total shit.
before i see this movie i think we all should pray... pleas bow your heads...

    "And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."
  • Dan
Wow, a bunch of dicks at this site. If it's not exciting to you, move on. Don't need to crap all over the people who might like this news.
  • I love The Boondock Saints.
Troy Duffy is an ass and blew his big chance but the film is a cult classic and this is one of those times that the follow up just might be better than the original.
  • Isaaac
Wait a sec, didn't Rocco die in the first one?
  • The Iron Avenger
It's been reported that he's supposed to be in a few dream sequences.
  • jae
i had to shut the first one off after about 20 minutes because it was so awful. i think they need to look up the definition of "cult film". it implies the film has at least some audience, when i dont think this has any.

Make a sequel to "Big Trouble in Little China" if you really want to remake something with a cult following.
  • jason B
sorry man, this film is THE definition of 'cult film', and has the precise type of dedicated & involved following that deems it so. if you honestly checked whatever criteria that you have for cult films, i promise you that 'saints' would meet every single one - wether you like the film or not.
  • Mr. X
    Amen brother, amen
  • meee..
i think you should turn the first one back on. how can you judge a movie without watching the whole thing. Boondock Saints is an amazing movie.
  • groan
But will there be an Overnight 2 to go along with it? I can't believe somebody gave this scumbag financing for this garbage.
  • TOOLBOXHERO1977
DON'T LIKE IT DON'T WATCH IT
  • jason B
i think duffy's time spent at rock bottom has earned him a clean slate. i'm really rooting for this film.
  • I love the first one, but after watching Overnight I'm shocked someone gave Troy Duffy another chance. Dudes a piece of shit.
I'll still watch it because I love The Boondock Saints.
  • veritas
Umm yeah Rocco dies in the first one... right?
  • veritas
“Rocco is actually coming back in a dream sequence, so you will see Roc.”

    ...nevermind
  • Justin
heres the way I look at it.

its not transformers, therefore I'm looking forward to it.
  • Brendan McD
I really liked the first movie.

If you really feel the need to shit on this movie, just remember there's probably a bunch of 'cult' or 'off the map' movies that YOU like, that we would probably shit on too.

P.S. Saying a movie is bad does not make you any smarter or cooler. It just means you've ran out of ideas.
  • Andrew
get over yourself. this is a movie blog where various commenters voice their opinions. i agree, there's no reason to blindly attack movies and people for liking them, there's absolutely nothing wrong with criticizing a movie constructively. if you cry every time someone criticizes a movie you like, start your own blog and delete all the negative comments
  • Brendan McD
Exactly, this is a movie blog, not the local retard bunch at Blockbuster. I would expect that if you show enough initiative to post in a specialized message board, you would at least have a little more tact behind your opinion than when you're off being the average idiot otherwise.
  • First movie is one of the most underrated overrated movies i have ever seen. It doesn't deserve the cult status it has.
  • Brendan McD
    ...what?
  • Yes.
  • Gregage
I can't wait to see it in the theater, I mean on DVD.
  • Saint
Saints FTW! "...send you to whatever god you wish"- yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
  • nighthawk1
The first is extremely overrated. Not interesting in it.
  • meee..
how is rooco in the second when he was killed in the first ??
  • gaycowboyeatingpudding
I heard an interview with Bob Rubin who plays Gorgeous George in the film and he explained Rocco is a lot of flash backs and like ghost appearances- Hope it as good as the first. Hey, and all the people who jump on here post negative stuff about this film/story- I don't go to the vampire/sci-fi/fantasy movie/review pages and blast the crap you like? Troy Duffy got more fans and money than you and I so he must be doing something right.

You probably hate Bruce Campbell too...go cream yourself over Iron Man and Twilight- and we'll enjoy the Saints.
