Columbian animator Oscar Triana crafted this short animated tribute to George Lucas’ Star Wars.

Playing with the idea of “how you remember the movie, back then” and using things in common when you were in school like notebooks, cut-out figures, cotton and the alike. The short recreates in three minutes the original movie, using some random and sometimes witty ideas/comments from me and other kids that have seen it in the last few years. It’s like a crazy summary by a kid who sees the movie for the first time.

Digitally animated for Atom Films’ Star Wars Fan Film Contest, watch the short after the jump.

great animation. too bad the text was a bit hard to read.
  • Jason
That text is seriously hard to read! A least this video rectifys the number one problem with the original Star Wars, Chewie finally gets the medal he deserves.
  • Chris
    better than the prequels!

I haven't smiled at Star Wars in any form in quite awhile, that was so delightful.
I suppose people aren't used to reading cursive anymore?
  • mbellerbrock
I can read cursive just fine, that was just too sloppy/small/blurry to make it easy to read. Focusing on the words really detracted from the video quite a bit.
  • The font is really a pain in the ass.

Ahaha! That was so cute, but I would have liked the text be more clear.

That was really cool, very well made. I still get excited when I hear the Trench run music.
