20th Century Fox has released a red band movie trailer for the Diablo Cody-scripted Karyn Kusama-directed teen horror film Jennifer’s Body on Shock. Remember how we told you that a trailer for the film would be attached to Bruno on Friday? Well apparently that trailer is “a straight horror preview” but the filmmakers wanted to also release a red band which they’re calling a “filmmaker’s cut” which they think “captures the comedy and scares of the horror films we grew up on - a kind of nostalgia for when horror films were fun.”

The film tells the story of a small-town high school hottie Jennifer (Megan Fox) who is possessed by a hungry demon and begins eating boys. But will this film actually make us scared of Megan Fox’s sexiness? I enjoyed the script when I originally read it around the time Juno was really hot. The trailer looks good but if I had any complaint, it would be that the dialogue seems a bit too PG-13, compared to the R-rated sex and violence imagery. But overall it looks good.   • I think it's gonna be like heathers with a bit of actual horror. Diablo Cody on multiple occasions has called it a dark comedy and compared it to heathers. I think they're will be some horror moments, but everyone will see things coming after the first couple of death scenes. Btw has anyone else noticed that her mouth effects look similar to the episode of Fringe with that woman who ate men's spinal cords.

    Looks amazing, I when I read the script (a looooooong time ago) I loved it, and thought it looked like one of those fun cheesy 80's horror flicks. My only doubts were when Karyn Kusama was attached to direct. But i think it lookes pretty damn decent!

    As for the teenage-sounding script, it IS by the same writer as Juno which seemed to try and force as much teenage-sounding slang as it could.

    At least we know what music is going to be included in the soundtrack. And don't worry, it's all totally hip!!! i can't put on my eyeliner and fishnet braclets (to cover my self-inflicted wounds) quick enough!!!!!

    Diablo Cody is the voice of our generation! I hope she does not fall into a wood chipper!!!!!

  • So, Fox will finally put her acting talents on display... unlike that "non-actors" movie she's in this summer... as she so eloquently put it.

    I don't think I'll be in any rush to see this when it hits theatres - the potential for any social commentary aside. Or maybe it's just your run-of-the-mill surface horror comedy.

    We'll see...

    Megan Fox is hot, but this looks really cheesy... like to a fault. I didn't care for Juno too much, I always thought the dialogue was forced and at times, very self indulgent, like Tarantino if he was 5x more annoying and a chick... oh god, that's one of the signs of the apocalypse ...
    Didn't one of the bloggers on here see the flick? and didn't he say that there's not nude scene of Fox... if that's the case... no point in this flick.

    It just looks like an average Buffy episode... and i love Buffy, but i detest Juno with the utmost of passion. And am i the only one who thinks Megan Fox isn't very attractive? She has a very boring, generic look to her and she has some of the worst tattoos in history, they are utterly repugnant.
