The Game In Talks To Play B.A. Baracus in The A-Team?

When John Singleton was developing an A-Team movie, he was talking to Ice Cube about playing B.A. Baracus. A year and a half later, Joe Carnahan has since been brought on board to get the project started, and BlackFilm is reporting that a new rapper has now become the front-runner for the mo-hawked soldier of fortune role originally played by Mr. T in the television series. The Game. The 29-year-old Grammy nominated rapper made his big screen debut in the not-well-received 2006 action-drama Waist Deep. He later had a small role in Street Kings.

The announced cast includes Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith and Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Pack. For some reason I’m really not interested in an A-Team movie, which probably stems from my dislike for the series as a child. Also, I just think the show only worked in Regan-era (let’s not get political…) But if I were interested, The Game’s casting would probably excite me less than other, possibly more credible, options (even within the hip-hop field).But who knows, we really haven’t seen what he has to offer yet. What do you guys think?

    Common was in talks for the role too. I wouldn't be interested if Carnahan wasn't directing it. He can mix action and humor easily.

  • Mr. T is B.A. Baracus. Mr. T is his acting name.

    right, I know that, but Mr. T's look for the character is how Mr. T acts all the time out of character. So, is he going to do something new or will he fix the hair and wear gold chains to act how Mr. T portrayed the character?

    I would agree with the writer in his lack of excitement of another remake but I would really love to see a rapper called Freddy Fox ( also known as bumpy knuckles ) play Mr T. He has been around since the 80s and is one of the few rappers other rappers would not "diss" out of fear and he would not need to bulk up for the role.

    NO...THE GAME IS NOT READY TO PLAY BA, BUT I THINK MICHAEL JAI WHITE WOULD BE A GREAT BA......AND WHO CAME UP WITH THE IDEA TO MAKE LIAM NEESON HANNIBAL? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YEAH I HAVE AN IDEA, LETS MAKE A GUY FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM THAT DOESN'T RESEMBLE GEORGE PEPPARD AT ALL PLAY THE ROLE.

    He was in Millionaire Boyz Club, and that movie was crap. His acting wasn't the worse in it, but i still dont think he is ready for a big role like this. I would much rather see Ice Cube take it..

    Rappers ruin movies. Sure there's a few exceptions, but anytime I see Ice T or Common I know the movie's going downhill.

    John Singleton wasn't talking to Ice Cube... in fact after I.Cube ran his mouth that he wanted to play "Mr. T" Singleton went on a big rant that nobody is playing Mr. T and that the character is B.A. Baracus. From the interview you could tell that he had no interst in Ice Cube.

    WHY?! There are plenty of actors that could nail the part (I'm personally thinking Terry Crews would have totally delivered) yet they look for rappers that can't act?! Interest in the movie waning...

    I dont think Fiddy wants this crappy role...his arent any better but, he does that seems better than this and end up being crappy...not crappy to begin with...the game was not in my head for this role but ill take it...he can sounds sort of like mr t if he tried...obviously his look will be different, sans mo hawk...
