Cool Stuff: Simpsonized Ghostbusters

What if The Simpsons creator Matt Groening had animated Ghostbusters? Artist Dean Fraser runs a blog called Springfield Punx where he parodies some of his favorite stars and characters in the style of The Simpsons. Last week Fraser took on The Ghostbusters, and I just love the cartoon renderings of the classic film characters. Check out more, including the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, after the jump.

  • The secret to turning anyone into a Simpsons character, turn them yellow and give them an overbite. ;)

    We had that exercise in art school. Turning ourselves into different forms of animated characters, and yeah that was pretty much it with a few tweaks here and there to the cheek bones and eyes/brow. Either way, I had been following that guy's blog for a while, and it's still fun to see all the characters he'll draw up. I especially like Tobias and Gob from Arrested Development as well as some comic book characters.

    The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man looks oddly like the 2nd cousin of the Michelin Man. Of course, he still looked like that in the movie. But even more so in that picture.

  • You don't normally think of the Simpsons as very detailed, but when ever there is a simpsonized version of people, they always seem surprisingly accurate
