Transformers 2 Clip: “We’re Going to Die”

tf2final301

A new one minute video clip from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been released in conjunction with the new Transformers BD-Live release. Unfortunately, the only copy of the video I could find is on YouTube and has a LOUD screeching noise throughout. If you’re going to watch this clip, first mute your computer speakers. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! We now have a better copy of the clip, complete with audio, thanks to Trailer Addict.

  • The more clips I watch, the more I think this won't be disappointing.
  • shaun
it sure is not disappointing, its very awesome

Sounds like the Decepticons are attempting to hack Youtube's network...
  • lol. I was thinking the same thing. Google can prevent that hack. ;)
  • jason B
even with the screech this kicked ass!!!
  • Even without the sound, I like how the movie looks so far. The first movie was ok to me, but after doing some research on "Revenge", I'm going to see it for sure.

OMG! you can actually understand what's going on. So maybe Bay did learn after all?

I'm tired of Michael Bay getting crap... his movies are good... are they indepth stories that stretch the imagination and draw raw emotion... not really... but they are extremely enjoyable and fun... I love his movies and will be in line for ROTF when it opens cause I will enjoy it for what it is... a movie about alien robots who fight a war on earth... if you're looking for something more then skip it and wait for something else...

My problem with Michael Bay specifically revolves around what he did to The Island. A lot of the philosophical questions the book explored were either given token lip service or ignored completely in favor of having stunts like having Ewan MacGregor fall off a 30 story building and live.

The whole point of the Transformers movies is giant robots and even giant-er explosions. I didn't go into Transformers expecting to have to think, but I did expect to actually be able to focus on the giant robot fights. If he cleans up the action (which apparently he has), ROTF will probably live up to my expectations.

p.s. Michael Bay and Jason Statham need to hook up. I think Bay could make the ultimate Statham movie.
  • Jason Statham + Michael Bay = total awesomness!
  • tburn
I would say just combine transformers and the transporter... statham drives an audi that is really a transformers... greatest crossover movie since the jetsons meet the flintstones...
  • Pretension FAIL.

The Island was not based on a novel.
  • HelloJackToad
    That were mental.
  • good clip. no humor either, i like it.
  • Adam
Looks like he might of learned how to frame shit for this one, or atleast, for this clip anyway.
  • Dvq
that guy face when he yells OH MY GOD is hilarious.
  • Really? just think about reality (only one aspect) the air bags when the car got hit and spun before getting picked up all the air bags would have deployed.

The clip looks great and I'm and of course my three preteen boys are excited to see it but man can't he keep somethings in reality
  • Mark
its a movie about fighting robots... why does anything need to be kept "real" ?
  • Because he's making a movie that is trying to tell us that this could happen ten years from no or tomorrow big huge transforming robots from another planet might show up on Earth. That's a great story but it still doesn't change the physics of a cars airbag system.

I feel your pain on this, but there aren't many movies that go to lengths of a Bladerunner or a 2001 to make it real. I certainly wouldn't expect it from Tranformers. All the money and focus is on robots and explosions. That's why I'll have to shell out $10 to see it in the theater. If it's all about the effects, I at least want to get the full effect.

What bugs me is that Bay feels compelled to push everything just a little too far. For instance, the car being dropped--it would have crushed on impact and everyone would be dead--airbags or not. Things don't have to be "real" but they should abide by whatever laws of the universe the movie exists within. When you break those rules it takes the viewer out of the movie.
  • I don't understand everyone's desire for action movies to be 100% realistic. Don't both types (realistic and non-realistic) of movies work in their perspective ways? I mean how realistic was Iron Man compared to The Dark Knight? And yet those were the two favorites of last summer.
  • I've seen all the clips and trailers for this movie and its killing me. Next week it is finally here, and I'll see you all at the midnight showing.

If Bay made such great movies and was a fantastic action director. Then why do people feel the need to try and defend or apologies for him and his movies?

If Bay was a good director and made good movies then people wouldn't be on here trying to defend him.

    Money does not equal quality

Poorly shot soulless, random, pointless, action scenes ruined by shaky cam, blurry, zoomed in, 1 second, ADHD editing, with 20 different camera angles.

Blatant and lazy story, plot holes, continuity errors, pacing problems, terrible cliche and excessive ad lib dialogue, horrible acting, robots emote better than the humans, cringe inducing comedy and toilet humor that would make a 10 year old vomit in disgust.

Wheelie and the Twins have more screen time then all the other Transformers
Wheelie is a cussing farting leg humping idiot.
The Twins are gold bucktoothed mongoloid faced thugged out "bust a cap in your ass" cussing hillbilly gangsters.
Devastator is shown with testicles and is pointless and a wasted characater, killed by Agent Simmons shot to the balls.
Soundwave has little dialogue and never leaves space to fight or is show in robot
    mode.
Sideswipe Ironhide Ratchet and Arcee have little to any dialogue and little screen time.

Alice the pretender is pointless and wasted.
Sam's mom getting will make you vomit.

    Enjoy lmao

    Man! You are sooooo negative!

Michael Bay is the best sellout hack in the business. And that's actually a compliment.

Basically, if I were going to watch a sellout directory (and I fully plan on seeing Transformers 2), I would hope that it's at least the best sellout director in the industry. So my 2 cents is that Bay's a sellout and a hack, but he's the best one out there, and for that, I'll watch his stuff.
  • Ender
    "... watch a sellout directory..." sheesh I should double-check before I post!
  • bobfrank
