No Shia and Megan, these photos are full of big giant robots, including photos of Bumblebee, Demolisher, Optimus Prime and his bad ass swords (above), and Devastator.     i'm a 100% bay & transformers supporter...so i hate what i'm about to say: but goddamit why are they pushing the optimus prime with NO face plate on us?! He looks so much better WITH it, especially in the middle of a battle!

    am i alone on this?

  • Face plate is cool. However, you get a real sense of emotion from him by showing his face. He means serious shit.

    Because in the first trailer, his faceplate gets knocked off but I don't know how early in the movie that happens. So does that mean he won't the have faceplate on throughout the rest of the movie?

    Bay's a great action director in that he finds new and different ways to shoot action scenes that in my opinion have influenced many of today's cgi-fests, but no one does it like Bay... However, I just can't continue to let him have a free pass on the story front. That part is huge in movies, no story, no point to being there. I'm hoping that this movie has more to it than meets the eye, that's all...

    this is a common gripe with bay...but i'm not sure why, because in all of his career bay has NEVER written a script. he's slightly contributed to a couple story's, but that's the extent.

    so why then does he take the brunt of the blame for shortcomings with the screenplay: people are misinformed about the process of filmmaking.

  • Optimus Prime does need the faceplate. He looks too fun and family friendly without it. I can't take him seriously. Transformers 2 might make a good IMAX flik. But if it ain't big, the flaws will shine.

    I hope these arent the final renders for the film, the composting still looks unfinished to me... note that everything doesn't have that metallic shine it had, doesn't look like metal...

    i want to see how dev looks standing erect.he's always hunched over like an old man..or like he's so fuggin huge he can't support his own weight.i'd love to get a look at him in comparison to a human..and to another transformer!
