A Better Look at Transformers 2’s The Fallen

The Fallen
Paramount Pictures has released two new images giving us a better look at the main villain of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. One of the photos is a high resolution version of the production photo released by MTV over the weekend (full photo after the jump), and the other is another computer render of the evil Decepticon. The Fallen is one of the original 13 Transformers, the one who corrupted Megatron and was responsible for the formation of the Decepticons. He returns for revenge in the new movie (hence the title). The 42-feet tall Decepticon can transform into a Cybertron aircraft and also has the ability to teleport (as seen in the trailer).

    you know the entire plot of the film is available in the movie adaptation comic book? its kinda weird that they would release it so early. Its pretty cool though. i totally called it back when that blond girl was cast that she would not be so nice. i got more info if you want it.

    The comic book adaptation looks to be slightly different from the film, at least from the extensive clips I've seen on the net, on tv and at the theater. Still, it'd be best to avoid the adaptation, obviously, if you don't want to catch ANY spoilers.

    Just like the Terminator: Salvation one, it probably has some differences. The T:S one had a different ending atleast.

    This is Michael Bay's mythology.
  • megatron was not the head decepticon in G1 (early days) or the tv show or comics. The Fallen is one of the first transformers before Megatron.

    "The movie sequences shot in traditional 35mm will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The IMAX DMR scenes will appear in the traditional "letterbox" shape, while scenes shot with IMAX's cameras will expand vertically to fill the entire IMAX screen."

    So what you're getting is more of the same bullshit "IMAX". A 'few scenes' don't make it an IMAX film.
    Don't buy into the hype.

    I'm pretty sure there was an annoucenment last year that Bay was shooting a few select scenes in IMAX; like Nolan did in The Dark Knight.
