transformers 2

Paramount Pictures premiered a new clip from Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen during tonight’s MTV Movie Awards. The clip features a scene where Sam Witwicky (Shia Lebeouf) and Mikaela (Megan Fox) hide out from the evil decepticons. But an insecticon spy gives away their location, forcing the couple to make a run for it. I really like the continuous camera shot which was obviously stiched together digitally. It nicely conveys the urgancy of the situation using a big sweeping camera move through a keyhole to connect our heroes in hiding with the big giant decepticons just outside the shack. Watch the clip after the jump, and leave your thoughts in the comments below.

If there is one thing that the trailers have convinced me of, its that the movie will definitely deliver on the Robot front.

Every bit of footage from this movie looks amazing. June is pretty much here and that means we only have to wait till its about over, since that is when it finally comes out.

I just hope we see A LOT more of Starscream!

I really can't wait for this, less than a month left.

Love that panning shot of the bots

I only need two things from this movie: 1. Giant robots fighting, 2. Megan Fox running. Big Tick. And 3. Lots of explosions. I don't actually need that last one, I'm just pretty sure that's what I'm gonna get.
  • june 24 couldn't get here sooner...

lol!! this is gonna be f-ing awesome!! for some reason i get the feeling that this will be a little creepy too. maybe its just the way bay framed shia in that shot after he pulls the insecticon apart, but whatever the case, there is a new mood that wasn't in the first - not to take away from part 1 which i 100% loved.

i think we are lucky as hell that bay is the guy who is giving us this film. and i'm well aware of the people who dislike bay, i just wish they'd truly give into their hatred of the guy and stay the fuck off these talkbacks - cuz for people who can't stand his work, they sure do seem to watch everything he does and then talk - at length - about it afterward.
  • awesome. fincher/days of future past swipes in there, but awesome still!
  • Megan's seemingly lack of caring in the beginning of the clip almost ruined it for me. Starscream saved it.
  • I love how Shia rips off the insecticon's head with his seemingly unbroken fingers.
  • JaD
His thumb and pointer finger are fine, and unwrapped in every moment of that clip.
  • Ah. You sir have better eyes than I. Thank you.

Let's see if it's on Aicn. *clicks aicn bookmark*
  • Damn ILM is on a roll.

The Decepticons running around in protoform was damn awesome. Megan Fox got even worse at acting, I almost feel bad for Shia who is obviously trying to notch up his performance since the last film to compensate for the dragging load of cargo that is Megan Fox's acting ability.

Michael Bay has improved a lot since Transformers. His camera angles and the music were definitely the best part along with ILM's impressive visuals. They complemented each other quite nicely.

I'm going to have a blast watching this.

Nope. I guess they don't want people getting hyped for this movie? Oh well, their loss.

I love starscream. I hope that he was one of the jets that help to kill megatron last movie. Heard we find that out this movie if he was. My guess is yes.

So...a group of advanced robotic beings are unable to find two humans hiding in a small hut/house and have to rely on small robotic bugs...wow.
  • Dan W
haha i know right. I was thinking the same thing. And the fact that none of them could just shoot at the building and blow it up blows my mind
  • Michael S.
yeah, and on top of that there was a whole bunch of 'em, too! it really took, like, 10 robots to find two humans? lol

This movie will be awesome. I hope its as good as the first one.
