Awesome Green Lantern Fan Made Trailer

Green Lantern
Jaron Pitts has created a trailer for a Green Lantern movie starring Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordon. Pitts combined superimposed computer effects with clips from Firefly, JLU, Star Trek and many other movies and television shows (full list after the jump). It’s too bad that we’re going to have to wait another 2 years for a real Green Lantern film. But for now we have this trailer. Watch it after the jump.

  • It was ok, but nothing can beat the one for Thundercats.

    And I'm sorry, this guy must of just saw Trek, because tons of scenes were taken from Trek (come on, the drill). It should probably be less obvious, like the Thundercats one.

    This IS a Green Lantern Movie...I'm concerned that any hollywood adaptation would miss the point...but if they use this as a basline it could thrill and titilate grognards and casual viewers alike!

    Ok, given the cuts and content sometimes doesnt exactly fit all the time...which is to be expected with a collage effort like this...but the intent behind them is spot on! Also Nathon Fillion is Hal/GL! Brilliant! He'd need to get into shape again...but friggin awesome choice!!!

    Wow .. Sure did look profesional.. Actaullay made alot of sense and honestly when lookin at stills of green lantern and looking at the actor guy who might be playing hal's role.. I ahve to say dude is definantly looking the part.. also the trailer is an excellent examplae of what could be.. HAHAH WOW.. Lovin the thought of seein him fly around like that with the green energy steamin behind him.. keep it up guys!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm with everyone here who thinks Nathan would definitely be the greatest choice for Hal Jordan/ Green Lantern. Come on you Execs! How can you not use him, he's got the charisma, charm and wit of Hal Jordan. You'd be fools not to use him.
  • I like the idea. Fillion as Jordan would work, I think. Maybe a team of Whedon and Lindelof writing the script (Whedon is continuously writing super hero scripts in the hope he gets to make one anyways) with Abrams directing? I know, I know. Abrams again. But he did an amazing job with Star Trek and I think Green Lantern could do well with his creative touch.

    I always thought it was pretty good, but this raises the bar so much.

    Yeah, it was a bit soon for the Star Trek scenes and quotes. I've been seeing that skydiving scene, it was really noticeable.

    Also, QoS was a huge letdown.

    I liked the other fan made trailer with James Caviezel as Hal Jordon better. Both guys are pretty old to play Hal Jordon, between the two I would choose James Caviezel as I just think he is a better method actor, he can make anything believable.

    I still hope people bring up Jensen Ackles from Supernatural for Green Lantern, dude is the correct age and he can pull off the Pilot thing no problem.

    Please cast Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan it's not like he's doing anything big. He's perfect for the part and would certainly be better than Bradley Cooper.
