The Expendables billboard hq

The billboards for Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables may or may not be on display at the Cannes Film Festival, but the promo artwork appears to be official. Lionsgate has sent us over high resolution copies of the promo poster and billboard advertising for the film. I’ve included the full poster after the jump. As always, click on the images to enlarge.

The Expendables tells the story about an “expendable” team, hired to do jobs that no one else can or will. The team is sent to infiltrate a South American country to overthrow the ruthless dictator and liberate the country. Lionsgate will release the film on April 23rd 2010.

  • Semper Fight! I like that...

you see they are gonna send us all through the black hole, much like nero but with instead of waiting to kill spock we are waiting to see sly stone mumble his way through a movie, misunderstand jet li (i say this as fellow asian), see statham play a similar role to his other. so we have that time travel fun to look forward too along with the movie
  • Nice observation. I completely missed that. I'm guessing this is a next year release?
  • (Yawn.) I simply can't get excited about this one. Kinda wish it HAD opened in April '09 so it would already be gone. Just not feeling it.
  • It's so weird that they fixed that! I was just wondering why my comment got deleted.
  • I guess Stallone's company just discovered Photoshop. If you're going to fake a tattoo at such a high resolution. Try and actually warp the image a bit so it looks dimensional. Like it's actually on the guy's body.

The other logo looks like something found in a Poser tutorial.

ahahahah. thats so true. then again this is coming from the Lionsgate marketing department who as you know market all they're movies with muted dull tones and grungy, dirty looking backgrounds.
