The Death Star Destroys The Starship Enterprise

A new video has been spreading around the interwebs today showing the Starship Enterprise being destroyed by the Death Star, finally settling the sci-fi battle of Star Trek vs. Star Wars. The video was created by M Horn, the same guy who released the Death Star over San Francisco video which we also featured on the site (almost a year back). It’s funny that Horn chose to release the short on the same release date of JJ Abrams’ reboot. I’m sure that choice was not a coincidence. Watch the video after the jump.

    Wow, this really doesn't compare at -all- to the Death Star Over San Fran video.

    It looks horrible!

    Though, to be fair, the AT-ST shot was pretty decent. The rest, though? Poor tracking on the Enterprise, little to no colour correction or shadows... ugh.

    That's not the point. Compare this to his previous project. You can't seriouosly think this in any way surpasses it; what Death Star Over San Fran did right, this did wrong.

    Except the whole Enterprise destruction thing. I'm always up for some of that.
