The Shatner/Takei feud always cracks me up... Just a bunch of angry old men

I don't think Shatner is hurting for money. He's always been the kind of guy that laughs at himself and others and seems very collective at all times.

he's very much like Steve Wozniak in the way that he's been in the public eye for many years and both of their respective roles that made them famous have passed them by but they continue to market themselves, roll with the punches and make money.

Shatner rocks but I wish I could get his honest opinion on the movie. He was careful with his reaction and I'm feel he handled it perfectly.

It's sad to see this happen, not to dissing JJ's, I love his brilliant ideas and story telling.
But if Shatner is on board, it like paying a homage to the Trek world and the man is still alive for god sake. Who wouldn't feel that bitter after taste knowing that yu are no longer part of it despite of your involvement since day 1 of the franchise.

Shatner is in Star Trek his own legend, he don't need to watch any new Star Trek. J.J. Abrams version is in his kind a awesome cool thing and if shatner don't want to look, the boxoffice must talk to him.

It´s simple: Shatner is not in the new movie because the script didn´t have room for him. It makes sense for Nimoy to be on it, as old Spock is crucial to the plotline. But, guys, old Kirk might´ve been dead for a long while, as Spock is pretty wrickled himself.

i thought slashfilm ran a story that jj offered him a cameo, but he refused saying that he should have a bigger part? something like that? i might be wrong...

Shatner is awesome. I didn't like how they killed him off either way back in Generations, it would have been cool for them to include Kirk in Star Trek XI, like maybe a flashback or something, I dunno.

The only Trek series I've seen in full has been TOS and enjoyed the series quite a bit (especially the interaction/chemistry that Shatner and Nimoy presented) but I still find Shatner's somewhat cynical reaction towards the movie quite displeasing.

Plugging his book and attacking Takei (for the millionth time) once again was also rather distasteful.

Haha, I like Shatner, but he came off as a huge hack in that.

Actors are a weird breed. Michael Keaton hasn't seen Chris Nolan's Batman films.
I love Keaton but that's weird.
