I understand that this story might sound like it is some big goof. It sounds like a parody news story, like something you would read in The Onion. But trust me, it is real.

So lets start at the beginning.

A feud between Michael Bay and McG has been developing since January when Bay took a shot at McG’s use of a big giant robot in Terminator Salvation: “We’ve seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads,” wrote Bay. “Please, come on.”

McG quickly responded “”It bothers me to tell you the truth. Ultimately, our large robots have nothing to do with the Transformers robots. I say with respect, giant robots have been the theme of film for a real long time.” And then the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Superbowl teaser aired which many believe ripped off the flickery transmission intro that was used in the Terminator teaser trailer.  Bay then commented that he “would love to see my robots take on Terminators”.

And McG responded calling Transformers “a picture whose genesis is in a toy. They’re sort of more colorful and optimistic and the pictures are sort of break dancing and flips and back-spins. But ours is a very different, real world.” Bay might have lobbied one back, but I don’t remember. But now the feud has taken a turn to a new low with McG challenging Michael Bay to a dick measuring contest. Seriously.

“Michael Bay has a big cock,” McG says to Details Magazine . “But I’d like to believe mine is bigger.” McG smiles. “If he’s up for it, we can both reveal ourselves on the Spartacus steps at Universal and put the question to rest.”

Wow, just wow… But if you think about it, from the beginning, the whole feud comes down to “My robot is bigger than your robot.”
