David Slade’s twitter account mysteriously disappeared from Twitter days before it was announced that he would be helming the Twilight threequel Eclipse. The idea of Twilight fangirls having instant access to him must have scared him into hiding. And as my friend Danny T points out, it now makes sense why Slade was soliciting Twitter for good werewolf movies.

  • There will be Blood
I'm pretty excited about the Van Helsing sequel. Though it is a shame that Nick replaced Hugh :(
  • Star Trek titanium sporks! *adds to cart*

i always watch star trek when im child.i can't wait this movie.
lovely bones looks great.peter jackson is back.wow
Guillermo Del Toro is very smart man.i love him so much.
  • DEL TORO shouldn;t bash what he obvioulsy ripped off. He'll say bad timing, I say theft.
Sorcers apprentice looks, really, really, bad... I would recast cage's character and get back on track.
Great news on Ebert... gott a love him.
Magneto would be nice, they need to raise the bar, less for kids, more for 13. Dark baby, is the way of the future.
... OH, AND THE CUUPCAKES ROCK..... CHEWY CHEWY.
  • Have you read Ebert's blog? It's pretty brilliant, he always has interesting things to write about.
  • And some of the best comments on a blog anywhere. He'll also reply to many a comment if he feels the need.
  • musicsoup
surprisingly, sorcerer's apprentice isn't nearly as bad as you think. cage seems like he's having a good time. it's not nearly as dumb as the national treasure films. i was a little nervous it would be, considering same director same actor same bruckheimer. but wait for seeing some images that actually move (that means footage instead of stills) before casting any more judgements.
  • skippy
Del Toro didn't actually bash "Twilight" (that assumption was due to the misleading title of the linked article). He is offering his vision of vampires as grotesque undead creatures that feast on the living - which contrasts the current and longtime (waaay before "Twilight" and Anne Rice) trend of romanticized vampires.

So... quit bashing Del Toro without actually listening to what he said.
  • >>>David Slade’s twitter account mysteriously disappeared from Twitter days before it was announced that he would be helming the Twilight threequel Eclipse. The idea of Twilight fangirls having instant access to him must have scared him into hiding<<<

    haha this cracked me up
  • >>>Guillermo Del Toro trashes Twilight while teasing his new vampire book trilogy<<<

    Wow. What an idiot.
  • deathmetalhero
if by idiot you mean amazingly awesome, then yes idiot fits......
  • skippy
    "Wow. What an idiot."
An idiot is a person who judges someone without actually listening to what the person said.
You didn't actually listen to Del Toro, did you? Because if you would have, you would have realized that he didn't bash "Twilight" - that assumption was due to a misleading article title.

    [also, see Brendon's comment below]
  • Del Toro doesn't specifically mention Twilight, let alone trash it. He's simply retreading his arguments that came with Blade 2 - that vampire myths tend to be languid, sleazy affairs and he has monsterism in mind instead.
  • i'm glad to see Ebert and Roeper getting back on tv. i always liked their discussions. the addition of Christy Lemire, on the other hand, worries me. i've never heard her talk, but i hate her reviews. i don't think i've ever read a truly positive one and they always come off as condescending.
  • those Star wars cupcakes look delicious...

  • What is the point of that new exclusive Star Trek pic? What traction do they hope to gain from that? I mean, who looks at that photo in particular and magically decides 'Oh, I'm seeing this now!'??
  • edc
titanium sporks is my new band.
  • Lpfanaddy
What the crap is up with these Sorcerer's Apprentice pictures, I just wish I'd wake up and those pictures be from a bad dream I had. The only thing remotely promising about the whole thing is Jay Baruchel.
  • Based on the trailers, G-Force looks like it could be perhaps the most ridiculously hilarious thing ever. I can't even imagine how wtf the actual movie will be. And it involves Nic Cage which makes it even more awesome.
  • It is either that women will attack him or the fact that everyone is going to mock him for doing it.

    One of the two.
  • John Guard
Nic Cage used to be a good actor. now he just works for paychecks.

Zac and Miri should have been banned in the U.S.
  • Why should it have been banned? :/
  • Star Wars cupcakes are the best and I really hope we get a decent Magneto film one day. I really hope it has nothing to do with whoever made the Wolverine work print.
  • Another del Toro vampire flick? Sign me up. I think him doing a true horror vampire story could be very interesting. I could see him making a movie that really makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up like 30 Days of Night
