A famous venerable legend tells the story of a New Yorker who is approached in the street near Carnegie Hall, and asked, “Pardon me sir, but how do I get to Carnegie Hall?” He replies, “Practice, practice, practice.” Writer/Filmmaker/Entertainer Kevin Smith has announced that he will be doing one of his live events, An Evening With Kevin Smith, in New York City at the famous legendary Carnegie Hall. The show is going to take place on June 17th 2009 at 8:00pm.

Tickets go on sale at 11:00am eastern time on Thursday morning. Carnegie Hall won’t be officially announcing the show/sales info to the rest of the world until April 20th. So you have a few days to grab tickets before the rest of New York. You can find more information and order tickets here.

Even some of my friends who aren’t fans of Smith’s work love hearing his stories. Smith is hilarious live. If you havent already, check out the dvd releases of his previous stand-ups: An Evening with Kevin Smith, An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder, and SOLD OUT: A Threevening with Kevin Smith. If you’ve never heard Smith tell the story of his experiences writing a new Superman movie, check it out now on YouTube.

  • Taco
I'm so mad I live in Seattle.
  • Me too, but not because of this.
  • I really wish I lived somewhere close to New York so I could attend this. I just watched part 2 the other day and am planning on watching the 3rd sometime soon.
  • Kev-O!!! Please oh Please play Las Vegas on New Years Eve 2009....Cmon brother for me!!!!!
  • The only reason why I will give smith props is becasue of his reference to BOBAFETT in DIHARD VI. I have a cardboard stnd-up of Jango Fett - uni is cooler.

Saw him live at the San Diego Comic-Con when he did something along those lines while promoting Clerks 2, it was hilarious.
  • Dude, spring for the DVD's. They belong on your DVD shelf.
  • The man has a way with words and is always insightful, honest and funny. I assume this one will be released on DVD as well? I sure hope so!

Who's the better duo Jay and Silent Bob or Harold and Kumar
  • I could probably go but it's a fraking school night....sigh
  • I'm going.. I saw him in Red Bank, NJ last year, and it was amazing.
  • I love Kevin Smith, truly, deeply, but let's be honest here for a second. $39 for the cheapest seats in the house? That's damn near highway robbery in these tough economic times, especially for an actual, avid fan of Mr. Smith's. No clerk can afford to go see everyone ask him the same questions as always, what a terrible world. Fuckin Bukowski was right...
  • JNYCE Clerk 4 lIfe
Woot i bought my tix already for me and the missus ...cant wait!!!!!
  • j
I wonder if this will be filmed

Live in CT , love Kevin Smiths night with, already got 3 front balcony tickets for this, this will probably be the 4th DVD or part of it, I gladly paid $60 a ticket, it's still $40 cheaper than the cheapest Yankee game ticket and your seeing a more entertaining show for the most part, so please don't buy tickets people so more of my friends can go and be immortalized on DVD...
