Moviefone has a video from the set of Judd Apatow’s Funny People:

The video below is a viral for the release of the direct-to-dvd movie S. Darko.

  • tweet of the week, do i smell i new sub-article to be put in page 2?

that reminds me, WTF ever happened to GeekBomb?
  • i also demand an answer to the question regarding the fate of geekbomb
  • Steve Martin wins at life.
  • in his book "Born Standing Up", he's got one of his earliest promotional posters. it says "Steve Martin: Entertainment Ordinaire". i love that sense of humor.
  • That book is awesome. :D
  • Wow, I already didn't want to see S. Darko before. Now I am going to avoid it like the plague.
  • gah
“there’s no car chase in” Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"

Why do you feel the need to continue to lie, Michael Bay?
  • Wasn't there a clip of one in the trailer anyways? o.0
  • what he meant to say was. "the only car chases will be between transformers that are transformed into cars, no non-transformer-car (cars driven by people) car chases."
  • No car chase, but their will be a plane chase, boat chase, rocket chase, cart chase, horse chase, and chair chase. But no car chase.
  • Winter Discontent sounds dumb... I love that Diablo Cody cameo video. She rocks!
  • Aaww I want to meet Steve Martin and get that autograph card! haha
  • you shouldn't comment so much. Then maybe your smartness wouldn't be spread out in too many posts.
  • That Moon poster is great. It reminds me of the "The Limits of Control" poster.
  • starscream9289
    must.....get.....batarang!
  • There no Car Chase, What does he take us for, Idiots?
  • Infrafan
Peter, I don't think you should be calling a good music video pretentious when you're the one who put up the The Pussycat Dolls Jai Ho music video against all good sense. Broken Social Scene and all involved are the some of the most talented musicians in the world.
  • That Moon poster is beautiful. From knowing nothing about that film a couple days ago to seeing the trailer and poster, I am really looking forward to seeing it. What would I do without /film?
  • Travis
A Bay movie without a car chase? That's like sex without an erection... sure it still counts but what's the point?
  • And that's like a post without mention sexual fantasys of nerds. What is the point of that?
  • Then again, Bay movies are a lot like sex, so this is actually a perfect analogy.
  • freemachine
The new Moon poster reminds me of the one for Mel Brook's High Anxiety, plus concentric circles just irritate the hell out of me. They should stick with original Moon poster because it retains the eerie feeling you get watching the trailer.

  • First of all, I didn't call the music pretentious, I listen to Fiest. I was calling ther music video itself pretentious. And if you can make it through the 15.5 minutes and not think so, I applaud your willpower.

Also, the The Pussycat Dolls Jai Ho music video was posted as a LOL, I was making fun of the video, not supporting it.
  • I love me some Feist but the song that video is based on is kinda pretentious so it fits.
  • spike
It was easier than hunter's review of OAR!!
  • Infrafan
I didn't say you did. My only complaint about the video is the passed opportunity to score the silent moments with both Kevin and Leslie involved or expanding "The Water" to suit the film. After viewing the making of video, it's a bit clearer that the story better suited the film itself than the song, but still a good match. While the film may have needed some cuts, I found it mysterious and ambitious for a "music video". Pretentious is far, far too harsh and unfair, especially when you think back to all the short film type music videos. Every hear of "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em - The Movie". That sounds pretentious.

Posting that Pussycat Dolls video was more a cry out loud and you know it. Read the comments. You can't make stuff like that go away if you keep bringing it to the light, even if only to ridicule.

Oh, and I admire your willpower to talk about Michael Bay and refer to him as a "filmmaker".
  • Why do people keep calling the sex scene in O&R "rape" or "date rape"?? She drugged herself, and she told him to keep going. Even SVU would let this one go.
  • So Wall-E and Seth Rogen have something in common?
  • Winter's Discontent is the most crass and funniest script I read last year. Fifteen minutes in, a woman dies while the main character is having sex with her. His friends' reaction: get used to it. It comes with the territory.

I'm torn about Extract. It was a problem-filled script that I doubt was improved before production.
  • Poon Dong for the WIN..
  • Poon Dong is the best/funniest villain name ever...and Steve Martin is a fuckin G with those cards...
  • IK!
As excited as I am for Moon, that poster is absolutely terrible. Especially for the theme of the film. The poster's too "zany"
  • The posters are great and I too expect another Sherlock Holmes. Oh yeah, I had no idea bout David Carradine.
