Hot damn, that was awesome!

I saw this over at DreadCentral.com a few weeks ago.. Cant wait for some real footage from this new film.. Better more, finding out who will play Freddy..

I love the idea of glowing hot claws that cauterize the wounds Freddy inflicts, but the flames on his face and body just make me think of Ghost Rider...(barf)... I hope they give Freddy a different looking face, something along the lines of severely charred with chunks missing and bone exposed. The old mask belongs to Robert Englund IMO.

it looks really serious, but not "goofy" (for lack of a better term) like the original franchise. and I think they're going to make Freddy even more grotesque and maybe he won't be so funny in this one

I think the fiery Freddy is awesome. I like the shot with the burning embers on him being the only thing lit. Interesting, and the hot claws. That would be so cool if they kept that.

Very Very impressive for a self made fan trailer. It looked better than 90% of all horror trailers from the past ten years.

let's hope Michael Bay isn't going to interfere and ruin the remake.

I think what Michael Bay could offer this franchise would be incredible. Who could debate his craftsmanship in the new Friday the 13th? Hahahah...yeah, in the toolbox of Hollywood he takes grand champ most years. I'd actually like to see this go to a young director. and NOT A VIDEO DIRECTOR TURNED FILM! Yeah, there are a couple good ones, but the majority are obsessed with shimmer and have NO patience in their shots. Or films for that matter.

For the actual remake, I would like my Freddy on fire please. 1 vote for fire.

I'd prefer a humorless Freddy myself, and as long as they are remaking it they should consider making it as serious as possible. Again, my opinion is the original face AND the funny one-liners should belong to the original Robert Englund Freddy, exclusively.

I think that whoever winds up playing Freddy, who isn't Robert Englgund, should do the best in their acting ability to attempt to be just like Robert Englund while not making it seem like their trying too hard.

I wasn't expecting anything good and... I loved it. Holy crap - that is a fresh take on Freddy. I love the fire element. That is truly a unique addition that still holds true to the core of the character. I mean, he was burned alive and he's in Hell - why wouldn't he be on fire? It makes total sense while adding something fresh to make the story worth re-visiting.

Too bad the actual remake probably wont have any ideas this good.

The remake was pointless and poorly done. Yes I've seen the original. Why do you think they decided to make a remake of a movie that you felt wasn't entertaining? Perhaps what you missed about the original is why your entertained by that shite they scooped into your face with the remake. Just my opinion.

That was a pretty good fan made video. Maybe someone should call Michael Bay and take some of this and put it in his upcoming remake. I wouldn't have Freddy on fire the whole movie but it would be cool to see him like that once in awhile.

Oh yeah, that Freddy in the image up top looks like Pizza the Hut from Space Balls.

I will definitely agree with you. The current trend of horror remakes isn't that great and this short video made alot of people wish that Freddy was still scary. He still could be scary but he's too busy trying to be quick witted and funny, something they need to drop in the remake. But who knows, this remake could be the remake we've all been waiting for to make us like them and change our minds about stuff like this. I doubt it, but I guess it's possible.

I don't get the hate on some humor in Nightmare on Elm Street. Ever since the 1st one Freddy has always added humor except it wasn't as blatantly added as in the later films. Freddy needs to have that crazy sense of humor. It can still be dark but a few zingers from Freddy wouldn't be out of the ordinary. The best 2 films the original and New Nightmare Freddy is a perfect example. Sick twisted humor with some sexual content added on top of being a completely invincible murderer in your dreams is Freddy Kruger. I'd personally like to see each individual person's own worst nightmares re created on the screen by Freddy. So somebodies worst nightmare is being attacked by a pack of werewolves or something. You can't honestly say some humor added on top of what could still be dark and gory wouldn't make for a fun film.

I think that whoever started adding the humor with Freddy took it too far, they took it too far and now Freddy really isn't that scary anymore. I can take Freddy with some humor like you're talking about but I would like an insane kind of humor, something that only a sick individual would think of because they obviously went crazy after being burned alive.

Even though this is a fan-made, when I found it, I was extremly angry!! I hope Freddy Krueger will not look like this. It looks nothing like him, his face is to wide. This trailer is well made but I am offended that Freddy might look like that, I know it isn't confirmed that the dude will play Fred but I am still offended!!! x

man i just saw the real trailer for the nightmare on elm street and this Christopher Johnson guy look is way better than the Freddy. Although he is not the original, his look and sound is close. I just hope this new film is good can't wait to see. But I wish Hollywood would have not remade this film they should just done another sequel or a prequel that would have mad all fans happy.
