2 Minutes of Sunshine Cleaning

sunshine-cleaning

ComingSoon has the first two minutes of the new indie dramedy Sunshine Cleaning, that stars Amy Adams and Emily Blunt as two sisters who get the idea to become crimescene cleaners to make some extra cash. I enjoyed this film when I caught it at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, but David Chen wasn’t as entertained. The film is already playing in New York City and Los Angeles, but expands wider on April 3rd. I’d suggest adding it to your netflix, and wait until it hits DVD/Blu-ray. Watch the two minute clip embedded after the jump.

Anyone remember the opening section they released for Sex Drive and how it actually showed the gist of the movie and generated interest? Yeah...
  • Wow that clip was full of nothing. I wanted to see something about something of the show. I'm still going to see this but wish that clip had something to offer other than what it had.
  • I went to see this last weekend and found it an enjoyable little movie for a Saturday afternoon. I felt the ending was a little too neat and I agree with Sari, it was abrupt. It also wasn't entirely satisfying. I would recommend this movie based on the performances of the cast and the humorous moments.
  • i can't wait to see this, i hope it comes out in my area
  • This movie has the most abrupt ending ever. I was like...Wow, it's over? It's worth a watch though. It reminded me of that movie Waitress from last year. For some reason. They're not really the same at all though. Plotwise.
  • Did they let Zack Snyder direct the scene that's at about 1:45?

This really doesn't show anything beyond the title sequence, and there's more before this, so I really don't see why they'd put this up. I saw the film last week and it's enjoyable because of Adams and Blunt, aswell as Arkin, Clifton Collins Jr. and Steve Zahn, but I'd second the rental reccomendation, but if you do see it in a theater it's an entertaining way to spend two hours.
