But I there ARE practical reasons for changing things. Believe it or not $150 million only covers so many special effects shots. And to compare the rendering involved in Rorschach's moving inkblot to what would be involved in doing accurate reflections of active scenes is ridiculous. The workload would be exponentially greater.

Really dumb, if anything they should have left out the eye holes and left the entire mask made up of that material, at least then it would look a bit menacing. Looks like he's wearing a Halloween mask reject.

Why didn't they just use the original metal plated face of Cobra Commander from the cartoon? That looks way better than THIS pile of shit. Even the blue hood looks better than this. Both cartoon versions were KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).

This looks like a ripped apart gas mask covered in dried liquor vomit.

I don't think you all realize how hard it would be to shoot a scene with a character that had a mirrored face. It would severely limit your angles, or you would have to digitally alter every frame because the camera, crew, lights and equipment would all be reflected in that mask. This isn't great, but it is not as bad as I was expecting considering the art on "The Doctor" card that came out a while back.

Yep...They would need to alter every shot. Just like they did for Venom, Rorschach and a host of other characters from past movies. It's not that hard. We have computers and they're pretty freaking sweet. Not to mention the budget on this movie could handle it. Not a good excuse for this Pile.
