There is a lack of interesting movie news today, so I’m posting a second Video of the Day.

What if Hollywood decided to remake Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a horror film? Directed by Human Giant and Crank Yankers writer Eric Appel (who also did the Kevin Bacon reality prank show short BACON’D!, Clothes from the Future and Lex Luthor Needs a Bail Out) comes a horror thriller about a bunch of kids who find the Golden Ticket and win a horrifying trip to a factory of death. Gobstopper stars Christopher Lloyd as Wonka, Martha MacIsaac (Last House on the Left), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Paul Rust (Semi-Pro), Nicky Whelan (Neighbours), Paul Scheer (Human Giant), Wee Man (Jackass) and Little Jon.   • that was REALLY well put together. I loved the first 1/2....soooo many shitty horror movies begin exactly like that.

    I'm going to have to check out Funny or Die more now. All of their stuff that appears on here has been great so far.

    That was awesome, would be pretty interesting to see as a feature film, but that'll never happen. Very good though. And I have to agree with Daft_Krunk I'l definitely will checking out Funny or Die more often.

  • That was even scarier than the regular nightmares I have with Christopher Lloyd in them. The ones where he's dressed like Doc Brown, but he has red skin and horns and screams at my face that something's got to be done about my kids.
  • Funny, great concept - but some of that (mainly the ending) was quite embarrassing to watch.

  • The oompa loompas in the original might be strange and weird, but never frightening, unless you're a wimp or were easily frightened as a child. But still, even if you do think they are scary, this movie would multiply that fear times over 9000.
