If Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a movie for kid then why not have it rated 'G". School children cannot take a field trip if it isn't a G movie. We were looking forward to taking the children since we read the book to them, but now since we've found out it is PG, we can't. We're so sad.

I loved the book but the movie is not evenclose the the original story in the book. Why the inventor? The grandpa telling the story was awesome and the way it ended witht he little boy out in the snow thinking he smelled mashed patatoes and butter, priceless. I will take my daughter but do not have high hopes for the movie!!!
  • This is one of my favorite childrens books from my youth..

    keeps on stoping....
  • That was really good when the part Flint Lockwood put water into the machine to make food fall out of the sky. I think Flint Lockwood had problems with his machine and he made it go fast when he had to keep hanging onto it.Flint Lockwood never gives up on his invention so he kept working on the computer so he can get the machine working but making food fall out of the sky.

i love the MOVIE i havent read the book infact i didnt kno there was a book till i saw the previews for cloudy with a chance of maetballs because yooh kno there isnt a movie unless there is book. I LOVE CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS!!!!!!!
  • I like Flint Lockwood the inventor because he is my favorite character in CLOUDY with a chance of MEATBALLS IN 3D who makes food fall out of the sky with his invention the food machine. Flint Lockwood has trouble using his machine and Earl Devereaux grabbed him by the lab coat and Earl Devereaux wants Flint Lockwood to be like his son Cal Devereaux so he showed everybody what he was made of. Sam Sparks love it when he has done something that she likes are the hamburgers fall out of the sky and Flint Lockwood eats it and his machine really works near the dock.

Was NOT happy with the movie at all I can understand taking artistic lisence but they changed the story altogether. If they can make a feature full length film from "Where the Wild things are" and that has I think 12 sentences then "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" should have been an easy project. Loved this story when I was a kid and the only thing that was like the book was that food fell from the sky. Everything else was a totally different story. D-!!!
