watchmen vs wolverine
Ever since Apple began airing those Mac vs. PC ads, people on the YouTubes have been making parodies. One of the Mac vs. PC parodies we’ve been tracking over the last 2 years (has it really been that long? Yes, it has) is the Marvel vs. DC spots that someone created using action figures. The first set featured Spider-Man and Superman (Spider-Man 3 vs. Superman Returns), the second featured Batman and Iron Man (The Dark Knight vs Iron Man), and the third set featured Hellboy vs. Batman, Iron Man and The Hulk. This new parody features Wolverine (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) vs. Rorschach (Watchmen). They make light out of Fox’s Watchmen lawsuit, the argument of a PG-13 franchise film vs. a Rated-R adaptation and the best characters/comic books of all time. Watch it after the jump.

    justsomerandomguy is the man!!
  • Sabertooth is an Idiot.

It's not just someone, it's "JustSomeRandomGuy" (& his girlfriend - JustSomeRandomGal) that have been doing these. I thought you were following these for 2 years?

I MEAN COME ON! Two in one night?

I'm not a fan of DC comics. Marvel is just better. Saying that, DC didn't make watchmen. They just printed and distributed it. Watchmen is the best, yo!!!
  • "DC didn't make watchmen. They just printed and distributed it."

You could say that about "any" comic under any label. How does that even make sense? They were just as much as part of its creation than anyone else. Moore and Gibbons didn't print the issues themselves and put them on shelves.
  • I love these vids, they've been consistently hilarious since the beginning.
  • These are horrible. It's just nerd reference after nerd reference.
  • Will
I'm gonna presume that's a joke, right? I mean, why would you even say that on a movie blog site?
  • Yes, because comic books AREN'T usually read by nerds....

(this is not meant to be offensive to nerds, seeing as I am one.)

Why cant we comment on the Wolverine trailer link? What is the deal with Deadpool having lazer beams coming out of his eyes? Why does he not have a mouth? And as for the Red lines on his body, it looks like the same markings that Wolverine had on his body to show where the adamantium is inserted into his body only they are more defined. What is Fox doing to this movie?
  • Wolverine will definitely kick Roscarch's butt.
  • TheMarquis
I'm going to assume that the laser eyes are from Cyclops as a teenager, and they'll be fighting to get him on their side.
  • Who watches?
Everybody needs to watch the serials this guy does, "Marvel Vs. DC: After Hours" and now "Happy Hour." They're both incredibly insightful.
  • Marvel is better than DC?
How's that whole Spider-man selling his soul to the devil because the editors didn't want to do a divorce thing working for you? How about that Skrull invasion that didn't really have a resolve? How's that publishing good stories coming too?

    Decide DC!
  • I agree with you, CaptainAwesome; that statement would be true of any story under any label.

At the same time, I can see where C-Dawg is coming from on this. While Alan Moore's work is published under DC, I see his work as something of its own and not under the DC blanket. But that's just an association thing.
  • We're not talking about it on this post because that's not what it's about. Stick to the topic that the story's actually written about.
  • I thought this was a great adaptation of both characters' type of dialogue and style. A lot of times with parodies, the people doing the voices change the characters' attitudes completely, and I love that you could totally see the style of dialogue fit right in with the comics they came from.

    HILARIOUS! A damn classic!

this isn't funny. that batman one where he's playing mortal kombat, now that's how to do geek-funny.
  • definitely not at the box office. only in your hugh jackman loving dreams broomstick.
  • the first half was funny, it dragged a bit, and sabretooth shouldn thave been in it.

watchmen as a film is going to destroy wolverine every way there is.

So how about Batman being dead for a total of 2 weeks after his very hyped death, hows that working for you? Or the very convoluted, drawn out, mess that was Final Crisis, didn't Superman use a "Wish Machine" to reset the universe AGAIN?.
Siding with one side of the fence is ridiculous when it comes to comics. Both sides have lots of good stories out their, Blackest Night looks to be incredibly awesome and Flash: Rebirth is something I've been waiting on for a while now. Also the Skull invasion is over and has lead into a far more interesting arc with Dark Reign now.
  • last I checked, Batman is still very much Dead you know, thats the entire of the whole "Battle for the Cowl" thing, unless all the Bat-family + Hush are now fighting over who's going to be Batman for shits and giggles. At least Final Crisis had an ending and I didn't find it to be a "mess" at all. The "wish machine" is a better ending then "Wasp emits toxin while thor flies around".
  • Mecline
Seeing as he was chilling back with Anthro in the final pages of Final Crisis #7, I'm gonna say he's very much not dead, but I'll admit that the ending of Secret Invasion was lackluster. Final Crisis was hyped from Day 1 as "The Day that Evil Won" though and how it was going to shake up the status-quo, but it ended like all other DC Crisis story's with the heroes triumph and history being re-written. Invasion lead into Dark Reign and actually has changed up the status-quo in Marvel for a bit with Norman and his Dark Illuminati.
  • Rorschach > Wolverine in design, badassery, and as being a character as a whole.
  • Mecline
Oh and on a sidenote, Battle for the Cowl looks like it is going be a very sweet run, any thoughts on whether is Cass or Babs in the crate? Its rumored that DC might be bringing her back as Batgirl, since Birds of Prey seem to have broken up.
