New Terminator Salvation Posters and Photos

terminator salvation posters

Warner Bros has released new posters and production photos for Terminator Salvation on Yahoo. At WonderCon, McG premiered the new trailer, which will be attached to Watchmen, and many people agree that it was the coolest thing they’ve seen at the convention. I hear that the trailer will be online on Monday afternoon, so I’m not going to spend time giving you a full description, as you’ll be able to see it for yourself soon enough. After the ump you can see a batch of new production photos released for the film.

Head on over to Yahoo to see more photos, including some behind the scenes shots of McG calling the action. Terminator Salvation hits theaters on May 21st 2009.

Great stuff, I'm gaining more and more hope by the day for this movie. I hope McG wins the fight for the R-rating, though it doesn't seem likely.
  • I don't know man... I have a good feeling like he'll win that R.
  • Yeah I don't see him winning that battle. I think its possible if Watchmen does big business, but yeah I don't see Warners letting him get his R cut. People gotta remember Warners is a studio just like any other, and there going to do what gets them the most money. Also bad photo shopped posters, but some cool photos.
  • I gotta agree. WB will do what it takes to make the movie profitable. This movie has a ton of special effects, elaborate sets, etc., I'm sure WB has invested a lot of money in it. And R-rated movies don't make as much money as PG-13.
  • They have already made toys for kids. There is no way this is going to be an R rated movie. Look what made WB money last summer. Why would they let McG release it R?
  • K-Man
They made toys for T2, I know, I had them. If this movie is PG-13 I will not go see it.
  • That's right. They made toys for T2 and even T3 I believe... both R Rated movies.
  • Palmer
All three movies were Rated R. And how cares if it's not PG-13? Not like a pair of breasts will traumatize someone, but hey they're fine with violence. Seriously, the MPAA is just full of prudes (which in it self requires a separate rant).
  • I've said this before, but every time I see more about this Terminator 4, the more it looks flimsy and lame to me. I have no faith in McG to make a remotely decent movie, and these photos only bolster that concern.
  • Same here. It still looks and feels really cheap to me.
  • Man. I agree. I just can't get excited about this. I've tried to be interested, but with McG at the helm, it's hard for me to have faith in this. Plus, outside of fanboy groups, there is not much buzz for this movie. People I've talked to about it aren't really excited. They're all looking forward to Transformers (mind you, these are non-film geeks, average joes).
  • More posters and photos!!! I'm tired of them, lets get some decent videos.
  • I find myself the opposite, somehow. I started out completely against this film and now find myself strangely looking forward to it thanks to /Fs coverage... I dunno, I can't explain it!
  • It's strange. I'm getting two different ideas from the posters and the production photos. The poster makes me think that here's another retarded remake movie. But, the photos make me think this could actually be a pretty decent story-driven movie.
  • I'll bet my hard earned money that this is gonna the single biggest flop of the summer. Knowledge amongst the public is pretty low (at least around here), doesn't feature the defacto face of the series, features a director who's rotten tomato score for directing sits at 57% and comes out after a what is sure to be huge robot movie (Transformers 2). I figure people may not want more attacking robots.
  • the third film made 433 million worldwide. i don't think the next one will flop. it won't do as well, no Arnold- but it should still make some money.
  • I'll bet my hard earned money that Terminator Salvation will make more money than Land of the Lost meaning it won't be this summer's biggest flop.

Oh yeah, Terminator Salvation comes out a month before Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. If people are tired of attacking robots, it will show in the Transformer's sequel numbers.
  • Thanks for the correction on both accounts. I still think it's gonna flop bad though.
  • terminator will rock
You're crazy --- no way this film flops. It's release date is positioned nicely. The only big summer blockbuster film that comes out before it is Star Trek and that has only a limited film base. T4 comes out one month before Transformers, so they don't have to worry about that.

Like someone wrote, T3 made nearly $450 million and that was nearly hated by everyone. No one cares about Arnold. This has a large fanbase and a lot of early buzz. This film will be huge. IMO, the biggest of the summer.

Unfortunately you have some haters who just can't bring themselves to admit that McG may have just pulled this off.

    Your loss.
  • i don't like the posters, either, they remind me too much of Transformers, I am afraid it will be another cliched popcorn movie. sigh.
  • the last Terminator film was a cliched popcorn movie but I think this one will be better which should move it out of that category.
  • Weyland_Yutani
I still don't understand how Ron Howard made such a gorgeous daughter.

    I know...I know...
    I'm probably in the minority,
...but I dig me some BDH.
  • I'll agree with you on that. I wondered that a few years ago when she was in Spider-man 3.
  • Most of these shots are not film stills. The ones that look really good are film stills.
  • I just noticed last week that im pretty damn excited for this movie.
  • G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE MACHINES
  • every time I see something new from Mc G I gain confident that I'm going to like this
  • the single shot of the bombed out church looked better than all of these photos.
  • filmkid
the new trailer is coming out very soon it will make you all hyped up for this movie
  • Crazy Poster. Looking forward to the new trailer.
  • We finally get some good images from this movie. The last few were good but these are alot better.
  • yet another reason to see WATCHMEN this friday.
  • Palmer
This gives me hope that it will erase the taste of Terminator 3 from our mouths.
  • The_Kid
the original terminator was rated R, I see no reason this one shouldn't be.
  • all three of them have been R. this one will probably get cut by the execs at WB to turn a profit.
  • finally some posters that aren't "Watchmen" (not that all 3,429 of those weren't awesome), or those shitty "GI Joe" posters. let's pray for the R rating!
  • jank
i'm just glad they finally confirmed that a cg arnold face and voice will be used in the movie afterall. and that arnold himself saw it and approves. i guess ILM nailed it.
  • Hope its gets the R rating but you know how the studies are and I see how some of you think this will suck but as I've said before, anything with Bale in it can't totally fail.
  • McG HATER
That poster sucks, looks like someone has been on the photoshop too long

I am kind of sceptic towards this movie. Sure it looks like it could be decent but the stills and stuff I have seen so far don't convince me of what I had envisioned as a 2020's future war, given J.Cameron's T1 & T2 record. The future scenes in T1 were very gritty and dark, in them we saw extreme human suffering and sadness, like that holocaust was very real. In T2 we saw a bit more of action, but also that dark ambient (music helped a lot there). I have always seen those scenes absolutely not popcorn, and I am afraid this new movie may not keep up with that level.

Basically, I didn't expect high speed chases with robo-bikes, but something more like a war movie, hopeless fighting, refugees, people suffering, Skynet doing slaughterhouse things to harvested people, holocaust stuff, etc... you know.

There is a site I highly recommend that ilustrates all of this gritty views about the future, maybe some of you know about it: Rage Against the Machines - T2029AD, by Chrisptopher T.Shields

I hope we see all of the above instead of the cliched bullshit I am sick of watching over and over in recent movies, I have faith..still !
  • I didn't want to see this movie before I found out Anton Yelchin and Helena Bonham Carter are in it. Now I can't wait. It's always good to see Carter every once in a while, and twice in a month's span is going to be awesome. As for Yelchin, this film, as well as Star Trek, is going to get his face out there, and he's a great young actor.
  • I'm about the same way. When I heard of McG doing this film, I wasn't going to watch it. Now, after so many production photos and a pretty awesome trailer, I think I'm going to watch this film. Oh yeah, these photos posted today only excites the crowd that was still undecided on the movie, especially the one with the rubber face wearing Terminator.

LOL @ the picture where Bale is staring at the tail thing.

"WTF ARE YOU LOOKING AT? DO YOU WANT ME TO GO OVER THERE AND KICK YOUR ASS?"
