VOTD: Starship Troopers Against Child Abuse

Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien, AKA Johnny Rico, reprises his famous role to help raise awareness of child abuse in one of the weirdest Public Service Announcements ever produced. This PSA is not only real, but it’s brand spanking new. It wasn’t filmed years ago when the movie was released but was just shot a few weeks ago.     I love Starship Troopers, but this sucked. What a waste of a good opportunity. It completely lacked the zeal of those fake advertisements in the movie. At the very least, they could have added, "DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE?", and then flashed the ChildHelp logo and website.

    It's for a great cause, so I'm glad they did it anyway.

    to be honest this is a bad way to help raise awareness of child abuse. everyone who will watch this will think "oh another Starship Troopers movie when is the voice over going to kick in" or even some people might even laugh cause how its been advertise. this is a very bad way to help raise awareness. to child abuse.

    i rather Casper Van Dien stood there with no Starship Troopers theme and talked about child abuse.

    That was pretty bad. Just as bad if not worse then the two sequels that came after the original. Which I liked the first movie and did want a sequel, just not straight to DVD.
