Anne Hathaway Cast in Stephen Chow’s Superhero Comedy?

China.org.cn is reporting that Anne Hathaway is likely to star in Stephen Chow’s next movie. When Chow bowed out of directing The Green Hornet, he said that he would like to free some time up to work with Jack Black on a different superhero comedy? Well this is it.

Wei Dasen, a representative of Chow’s production company describes the film as “a superhero, action-packed, special effects-rich, and of course funny” . Sources close to Chow supposedly are saying that the film will be similar in style to the over-the-top parody ala “Kung Fu Hustle”. Chow is writing the screenplay and will also co-star. No further details are available at this time.

    stephen chow has made some of my favorite movies, i just hope that all of his style and whatnot can translate well for an american audience. otherwise people just might not get his over-the-top action and slapstick comedy that well.

    Green Hornet is gonna blow this out of the water! i cannot wait to see Seth Rogen on the big screen whoopin ass besides Kato

    Chow would be foolish to not play Kato. he doesnt have to necessarily direct Green Hornet, but passing up the role of Kato would be a huge mistake

    I think Anne is a wonderful actress in all sorts of movies. Stephen Chows new movie sounds like a great new movies for Anne. I am sure she will give American movie goers a good couple of hours of entertainment and relaxation. Just what is need to day and everyday. I hope Anne just keeps making more movies like she has been making I just saw Brides Wars and will be going back see it again soon. To me she everything right and I hope she wins the Academy Award for her outstanding performance in Rachel is getting married

    Yea, i agree with you there. Mr. Black is funny, but I don't know if his acting is flexible enough to play something different than his mono character tone. Anne, on the other hand, proves herself to be capable separate her characteristics in Get Smart with Steve Carell. Hmm...who'd fit to replace Black?

    and, don't you love a whiteman named "Black"?
