Two New Astro Boy Images

The rumors of IMAGI Animations Studios death have been somewhat exaggerated. Summit Entertainment will be at the New York Comic Con this weekend to promote the upcoming computer animated adaptation of Astro Boy. AICN has two brand new images from the film. Click on over to see them in high resolution. Astro Boy is due to hits theaters on October 23rd 2009

    IMAGI recently laid off 99% of their Los Angeles based animation team. The rumors are true, two of my close friends were laid off and currently seeking employment.

  • For me, I think it would've better if it was live action, but keep Astro Boy's manga/anime look. Meaning, keep the big head and big eyes by using animatronics/CGI. Wouldn't that be cool (and creepy?)
