I like this one a lot. It's all serious, and all the characters are better grouped together than in the "final poster". I think if I give this one time to grow on me, it may be my favorite.

We get offers all the time for posters to romantic comedies or movies we wouldn't normally cover, and of course we turn them down. Like any other industry its all politics - you need to do favors to get anything. You'll notice that websites that run posters for films like The Pink Panther 2 and He's not that into you, end up getting the better exclusives. Either that or you're MTV :P

Damn, we are getting overloaded with all these Watchmen posters. I mean there's already about 20 of them so far. And yes I know, some of them are individual character posters, talk about overkill from marketing.

I've cycled between this comment section and the poster a few times and it just hasn't grown on me. All the other posters (bar this and the so-called 'final' poster) have all instantly jumped out at me (especially the one with the through-the-window-Comedian-pin-with-blood), but this just looks a little too...simple? One poster I would love however is one of a close-up of Doc Manhattan's head (unless one has already been released).

Peter the previous watchmen poster you posted isn't a poster at all, it's from the movie art book.

I like it, but the order the characters are standing in doesn't seem right.... marketing I guess.

i've only ever seen one movie in IMAX personally, and that was spiderman 3. at the time, it didn't even seem like that big of a deal.

i'm 90% sure that it just wasn't the type of movie to have a big IMAX payoff. But that just leads me to think that Watchmen might be the same- same on a HUGE screen as a big screen.

was anyone here able to watch transformers on imax? or see any film in IMAX where it was just incredible??? i want to know soon if i should bother trying to pick up some IMAX tickets for the midnight showing.

Personally I love IMAX movies, especially The Dark Knight it looked amazing. I am definitely going to get tickets for watchmen in IMAX, so yeah, buy the tickets :)

wow. aside from the comic-con poster back in 07... this is the coolest watchmen poster to date. I would definitely love to have this one.

i cannot wait till this comes out on imax. i am re reading the graphic novel now and getting pretty excited as each page turns.

I really like this new poster as well. The "final" one was quite shitty, so I'm glad they're making up for it with this and the Rorschach ones.

Not a bad poster by any means. Well, I'm really into anything watchmen related that gets posted here on /Film so it really grabs my attention. But I do really like this new poster :)
