So that last scene is set in China (look at the road signs). But doesn't the movie start off in China? Perhaps that is the opening chase sequence - do the Constructicons then work in a mine perhaps?

I'm 99% sure the construction that in the asian power planet sequence at the opening of the movie, is the same one prime is hanging onto in the highway sequence... which mean -- thats just the opening of the movie!

The movie starts in China at a oil refinery / mine (I forget) with some robot on robot action, and then the US Special Forces (who were in the previous film and are now working with the Autobots) are on scene to respond.

I think the dog / cat thing is almost certainly Ravage.

actually, according to the leaked script pages that ring is a Decepticon transformer in disguise. In the script, he is called "Grimlock" and tries to kill Mikaela halfway through the film, only to be narrowly thwarted by another incognito transformer: the Autobot "Perceptor"

Remember that in the script, they use random names before decide for the "real ones". That was the case of Brawl (the Tank thing), in the early script his name was Devastator, and they forgot to correct that in the finale, so that was the name that we see in the film (the editor was shoot for this), but his name is Brawl, as you can see in comics, toys, etc.

So, you indeed has seen an early script, but it's confirmed by now that the "dog" is Ravage.

2 things to check out if you download the trailer: 1) When the audi like transformer explodes out of the building and then transforms back into the car, you can see 3-4 other transformers jumping out of the same building after him. Two of them look like they could possibly be "the twins." 2) When OptiP gets decked in the domepiece, it looks like blood comes flying out of his mouth. He's a robot though, and robots don't bleed, save for Haley Joel Osment. Maybe it's oil? Kind of a neat little touch.

it's his face-plate being shattered - which is a tough thing to watch. i fucking love prime - hands down my favorite.

Yeah you can clearly see his face plate shattering, but if you slow it down frame-by-frame, you can see red liquid flying from his mouth.

it'd be nice if the movie had a more serious, darker approach. i'm pretty sure this will be just as goofy as the original. still awesome though.

Unfortunately, remember that the real goal of the movie is sell toys, so, it can't be so darker as we would like, a pity.

yes, most carriers can eaisly store up to 200 aircraft and having that many on deck IS possible

Looks like another set of resued shots from Pearl Harbor. Can anyone check this out? I don't have the movie (thank God). There was a resued shot in Trasnformers 1 of an aircraft carrier, and these shots look eerily similar.

The re-using of Aircraft carrier shots from Pearl Harbor in Transformers 1 was classic. Michael Bay doesn't give a shit! BOOM! (all the way to the bank)

I actually went on a tour of the USS John Stennis, the aircraft carrier used for Transformers 2 and our tour guide talked about their involvment in filming. Maybe they are re-used shots in the trailer but they are new in the movie. He said they would be getting an advanced screening for their crew too because of their involvement.

Damn you Michael Bay!!! Your movies are gold plated turds yet you keep making me come back for more! Why do I always get excited for, let down by, and eventually purchase all your movies?!

At first I saw the GI Joe trailer and I went "OK...looks cool." Then the Transformers trailer hit and I went "Holy Hell that looks fucking awesome!!!" Therefore, not as jazzed to see GI Joe now.

anyone else notice this? after that mean looking transformer busts through the building and morphs into the car, you can see two small looking transformers leaping through the air behind him. watch it in quicktime and go frame by frame.

nope its 3 and i would venture a guess and say its red alert or blur judging by the face.

so cool, the two i needed to see were 1) megan foxxx's close up 2) that first one of prime jumping in front of a machine that dwarfs him. those two stills sell the movie to me all by themselves.
