Pixar’s Up Super Bowl Spot and Bonus Video Clip

Disney has released the Super Bowl advertisement for Pixar’s Up, which is essentially the theatrical trailer with an extra funny bit involving Russell’s GPS at the end. Disney has also released a little short called Adventures with Carl and Russell which involves the unlikely duo’s journey through the jungle. While the story seems a lot more subdued than previous Pixar films, the characters are just so immediately lovable. You can watch both clips after the jump.

From Disney•Pixar comes UP, a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. From the Academy Award®-nominated director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.”), Disney•Pixar’s UP invites you on a hilarious journey into a lost world, with the least likely duo on Earth. UP will be presented in Disney Digital 3-D in select theaters.

Up hits theaters on May 29th 2009.

"You got a 'run away in terror' badge?" xD

I sincerely hope Pixar doesn't get another damn Oscar next year. With some of the animated stuff coming out as well, it seems like it's possible as well.
  • Lol, oh man... can't wait! :)

Best part of that trailer... the word "No."
  • That little dude is too awesome.
  • joe
i hope this movie delivers. i have faith
  • An awesome Pixar production, looks amazing..
  • This movie is so promising but everyone can figure out that in the end Carl will die happily after fulfilling his adventure, but I hope Pixar can give us a nice twist like they did with Wall'e because everyone knows that if there is a robot in the movie, such robot will probably be destroyed then reconstructed, but Pixar managed to give us a little scare after the reconstruction wich made the movie so fulfilling for me. Can't wait for May 29th.

Plus, the "You got a runaway in terror Badge?" line cracked me up.
  • i actually think UP will be better than any other pixar movie. umm, except maybe nemo
  • Looks so good!
  • Square
Wow, no appreciation for storytelling apparently. Enjoy Shrek 7.
  • see, now if pixar had some REAL talent like Mike Myers... then they would be able to get somewhere...

    this is why pixar fails:

tell me this, did Owen Wilson, Paul Newman, Billy Crystal, Albert Brooks, or Tom Hanks ever have a movie where they played an evil genius, a fat guy AND an international man of mystery all at the same time???

    NO.

because they cant get anyone in their movies who ACTUALLY knows how to act

    case rested
  • Steve
Wait, so now you're saying Pixar needs people to supply the voices of over-the-top characters who are completely ridiculous and hardly funny?

    I rest my case.
  • Donny
    Stop feeding the troll
  • Mike Myers is not funny, he might have been back in the day, but not today. Have you seen any of his latest movie The Love Guru? I watched about 3 minutes of it and turned it off.
  • wow...
made one joke, then decided to follow up on it cause (square) didnt get it...

now im a troll because people really beleive that someone thinks that paul newman and tom hanks are nothing beside mike myers...

    what?

i guess people are just way too gullible... or mentally impaired...

    guess this wont happen again
  • Well I'm glad you were joking. No one ever can like Mike Myers as much as you were talking about. I have to say though that you're joke seemed a bit trollish but I guess since you took the time to defend yourself, something most trolls don't do, I guess you're not a troll.

Ed Asner is the man to go to for a grumpy senior citizen voice over!
  • I don't know it seems kind of a stretch to me.
  • Fir3Wolf
    Can Pixar do no wrong?
  • This movie will be amazing. It's Pixar, so I'd expect nothing less.
  • As always with all Pixar movies I am completely psyched for this one. Pixar hasn't let me down yet
  • HAha...that second clip just sold the movie to me ! At first I thought the little boy would still the show, but the characters are balanced , neither is funny without the other.
  • I hope the boy isn't quite as annoying as he could be.
  • oh now im excited! those two have great chemistry
  • yay!
  • gps hahahahahaha good stuff
  • I refuse to watch any real footage of this film; I want to go in 100% surprised.
  • Yah, this made me laugh...Pixar can do no wrong, and i am not sure how they have the formula down so well!
  • brilliant. pixar just can't get anything wrong man. they are great!
  • That last clip was very cute. :) I'm looking forward to the movie again!
  • Looks like another fantastic film from pixar! which reminds me i need to rewaetch monsters inc again:D
  • This movie looks alright, it's no Walle of course, but I will watch this one day. Most likely a rental.
  • I'm getting more excited about this.
  • are you kidding me this soooooo funny who every doesnt like this go get a life!
