New Photos: Where The Wild Things Are, Funny People, 2012, Avatar and More

Warner Bros, Fox, Universal, Disney and Sony have released a bunch of new photos to the Los Angeles Times for their 2009 movie preview. I’ve included a few of the photos after the jump.

    Where The Wild Things Are leads this pack of pics as the most intriguing, just as I'm sure the film will.

    Can't wait for some REAL Avatar pics. I can see pics of Cameron pointing off camera and smiling at a monitor with a simple Google Images search.

  • I can't believe they are putting John Cena in movies. This guy ,has no talent except for his oversized bulging muscles like The Incredible Hulk. Its eems he's trying to follow the step of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

  • No, it's so revolutionary that if we saw images before the movie comes out it will literally make our brains explode. Cameron is protecting us from our own destruction--we're not ready yet.

  • it's so revolutionary, yeah right it's probably claymation. as if right now i don't want to have any expectations for avatar because first of all we don't what the hell the movie is about or how it's gonna turn out. other than that i really can't wait for WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, it looks very promising.
  • how are we supposed to know if it's amazing or not unless he gives us something to care about? the movie is releasing in less than a year and we still haven't a single official still...principle photography finished a while back...he couldn't come up with a few stills of the humans in their scenes?...MarketSaw seems to get the better images than what Fox and Cameron are releasing

  • I know the original Escape to Witch Mountain isn't great but the trailer to the remake is a joke.

  • Agreed. They're really kind of hurting themselves by keeping up the level of secrecy they are... the hype is so huge it'll either be the biggest movie of all time or a huge failure... no in-between.

  • The Princess and the Frog...... I see racial uproar in the making.
  • Oh, its already begun. In fact, I heard a story on NPR a while back that Disney actually rescripted the storyline and changed some major characters because of protests and potential boycotts. Apparently, the "princess" is a chamber maid for a rich white family in Louisiana, and there was some VooDoo involved or some crap like that. I got the feeling it was going to inadvertently be another Song of the South.

  • Im so looking forward to seeing more from "Where The Wild Things Are", i really hope Spike can pull this off and make it look amazing.

    Avatar will be Huge,this would have to be a must see film.
  • Agreed. Where the Wild Things Are looks awesome. Spike is the man, I have a ton of faith in him. I hope that it lives up to the pictures we've seen so far.

  • Oh I have no doubt that the film will be one of the most incredible movie experiences of all time, I just feel that die-hard fans of Cameron's work deserve a little more than "Look how amazed Sam Worthington is when he looks at this monitor!"
  • I guess they are trying their hardest to make sure the movie will be a bigger hit that no one has done before. I put my faith on Cameron he is one of the best directors and within the same league as Steven Speilberg and George Lucas.
