  • Still not jumping...
  • Ok im a bit skeptical about buying from Amazon as i live in Australia.
HOWEVER! i was watching Harry Potter and the Philosophers(Sorcerers) Stone...Yes shocking to Americans we call it different over here.

On the Blu-Ray cover it said Philosophers Stone...but then i put the Blu-ray in and the movie started with Sorcerers stone...

SO I DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON HERE!

    Anyone care to explain?

    btw sweet deal on amazon
  • This sale is bullshit. They had a page up about it for a week, and then they raised all their movie prices by $5 the second it started. It's not really that good of a deal.
  • I miss the days when they were still competing with HD-DVD. Every other week there was a buy one, get one sale at Amazon or Best Buy.
  • I jumped into Blu over Christmas. All because The Dark Knight Blu ray offered exclusive documentaries (The Tech of Batman, and the Psychology of Batman). Haven't bought too many Blu rays because of the price, but am happy I made the jump. Now I'm waiting on some decent sales.....this one amazon is offering is a bit weak.
  • Flight of the Conchords; Great show, Terrible DVD.
Not even one special feature, come on.
  • These Blu-ray deals keep getting sweeter and he PS3 keeps dropping in price... at some point I HAVE to meet them all in the middle and go blu. *sigh*
  • l) right you will right you will

Its not blu-ray thats holding many people back its the tv
  • Agreed.

Don't forget, DVD is still hugely popular, DVD pricing is better, and digital distribution (e.g. iTunes) is cheaper, also DVD is still good enough for many.
  • Absolutely agree. The difference for most between DVD and BluRay isn't much, compared to the massive difference between DVD and VHS. People don't want to go buy more movies they just bought.
  • Exactly where I'm at. I don't have the TV to handle Blu once I do get the player and sics... all too expensive, especially considering my DVD collection has everything I want in a quality I'm more than happy with. This is why I'm skeptical of people who claim Blu-ray will 'end DVDs' No f*cking way.
  • Renaissance Man
Sorry but, how exactly is the PS3 still dropping in price? It's been at a virtual standstill for a very long time.
  • Go blu now! You wont regret it! You can buy blu-ray for the almost the same price as dvds at www.blue-ray-deals.com
  • It has dropped in price dramatically over here in Australia.
  • You mean "down here" in Australia.
  • God I love flight of conchords! but i agree, no special feature=fail. I am probably the biggest blu-ray fan within a 1000 miles though. I have over 450 blu-ray discs. Alot are tv series in blu-ray. Yea im a nerd. I love these deals, but I mostly buy my blu-ray online at www.blue-ray-deals.com . They have great deals, and great reviews. Its pretty nice. looking forward to adding to my collection.
