VOTD: Live-Action Thundercats Movie

WormyTV spent a year and a half creating this fan made movie trailer for a live-action Thundercats movie using clips from various movies. Starring Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Vin Diesel. The San Francisco-based graphic artist added all the effects frame by frame in Photoshop. The footage was edited in Adobe Premiere. Pretty incredible and also really funny.

  • Jake
Wow! I can only imagine the time and effort it took to make this. Well done indeed!
  • LOL thats so awesome, this actually looks 1000 times better the Dragonball movie and I am serious. LOL snarf snarf!
  • This will make someone want to try make a real Thundercats movie.
  • Its already happing. Its the same way the gears of war movie came about. Epic and Legendary Pictures working on ideas.

Awesome, that was fantastic. well done to the guys who put that together. Love it!!!
  • Clint Barton
That was awesome. It gave me goosebumps!
  • Can hollywood put this guy in the directors chair for the thundercats movie?
  • I agree it was amazingly well done for a fan made trailer... but after seeing that I realize how terrible a live action Thundercats movie would be.
  • Awsome to teh M@xx!
  • Ender
    Holy shit, that was amazing!
  • Very cool and very funny...that guy who made it deserves an award or something...
  • wow, very well done. if i had never seen Troy or Pitch Black (the XMen parts looked legit), it could have passed as real. Very well done.
  • Ki77erB
Very, very cool effects. I guess if I had to criticizes something, it would be the whole "The...cat...come...out...to..play" thing. LOL kinda corney. But, man that must have taken a long time to make. Great job!
  • Is anyone now actually looking forward to a Thundercats movie? Cause i certainly want to see one now.
  • /filmluvsliono
holy crap that's amazing. loved the Last Crusade clip, and i think the shot of that wall with stone monsters is from the power rangers movie, and i saw galaxy quest, armageddon, . ha.
  • BlueBobcat
Wow. I almost wish I hadn't seen that because now I want it to be real.

I would go see that movie in a heartbeat! Bravo!
  • joshi38
I liked that better than I think I would ever like a real live action Thunder Cats movie.
  • Captain Molotov
Holy shit. That was easily the most believable fan-made trailer for anything I've ever seen, ever. Wow.

    I'm astounded.
  • jason B

  • starscream9289
    WE ARE LIONS!
  • Ed P.

  • weird
It's ok to make animated films you know, not everything has to be live action!!
  • Rob Cohen on line #2 for the sequel rights...
  • Hmm this felt like a remake.
  • way better than the flash fan-made trailer. I loved the parts from Aliens and Stargate, two of my all time favorites.
  • Wow, i didn't expect it to be that well done. Caught a glimpse of a part they used from the power ranger movie. This is awesome.
  • Donivan
That was GRRREAT!! No,really. This was done with basic graphics programs.make another one and don't forget the Lunatacs.
  • John
I'm really looking forward for this and the He-Man movie, hope they get [well] done in the near future
  • Galdersorg
Freakin' awesome. Sad thing is, if that's what the movie actually looked like, I would still see it.
  • That was beyond awesome! If they ever make a Thundercats movie, he should be the director!
  • SomePotHead
Someone needs to put this guy on a payroll. NOW.
  • I'm sorry, but there is absolutely nothing redeeming about Thundercats. I'll go so far as to acknowledge this person's commitment to a project that's clearly near to his heart, but this ranks with popsicle stick sculptures of famous people in the "I could have lived a happy and fulfilled life without ever having needed to see this" category.
  • krakit
Amazing pseudo trailer! I'll definitely watch it many times
  • David
I wish I had that much time to waste. Then again, maybe not.
  • Wow. 100% kudos to the creator. What an effort. Truly amazing and great devotion to put something like this together.
  • Anti-Septic
If Hollywood were to produce this clip, it would cost them over a 100,000 grand or more as they have no idea of what they are doing and just throw money at projects and expect huge returns.

It just goes to show what one guy can do in his spare time with just an idea and a spark of enthusiasm.
  • very cool.
  • That was pretty dope. Tons of work. I never thought I could be excited about the prospect of a Thundercats movie, but this makes me think that it could actually be good iif cast well and put in the right hands.
  • edc
    ha!
    furries.
  • grave dohl
Crazy shit! That's amazing stuff. Kudos!!
  • byron
