Inglourious Basterds: Two New Photos

Filmz.ru has two new photos from Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

Brad Pitt plays Lt. Aldo Rain (aka Aldo The Apache), a leader of a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “the basterds” (hence the title). Accompanied by German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger), the squad is on a mission to track down, scalp, and viciously kill Nazis in an attempt to spread fear among the Third Reich.

That second photo looks like a Mel Brooks film...
  • I can see your point, and somewhat agree.

At the same time it also reminds me of the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs when they are sitting around the table.

This movie looks great so far....it's definitely looking similar to the Kill Bill movies cinematography-wise...

does anyone else think that this thing might actually be done in time for Cannes?
  • YESSSSS .... huge Tarantino freak, and while i must admit t'was feelin a lil' odd about the flik's supporting cast, nonetheless im anticipating this movie like a baby after some warm milk, these pics make me giddy just trying to picture a friggin' war movie, soldiers uttering Tarantino's insane brand of dialogue, a friggin world war 2 movie steeped in tarantinoism quirk ... Pitt rocks, and most likely this bad boy of a film will too!

I don't even care if it is finished in time for Cannes as long as we get some time next year.

Is it me, or does Pitt look like Don Corleone ?
  • How so?
  • ha yea, i kinda see it.
  • I have a huge bias. I think tarantino is one of the best directors alive. Seeing these pics really makes me not want to wait. One thing is for sure, it will definitely be a fun movie to watch. Tarantino hasn't le me down yet.
  • I will be patient for this but I will be there when the light hits the screen.
  • What else are you anticipating?
  • curious case of B.B. and revolutionary road also,
big dicaps fan, its about time the dude wins an oscar, u?
  • Brian Rodden
I'm getting more and more excited about this. I thought it was gonna be bad, but it looks good. Script is solid. Cast is great. I'm pretty sure I'm down to see this...
  • "Am I King Kong?" - Second photo shows one of my favourite scenes in the script. I will be waiting in anticipation to see how this film turns out.

  • Joshmayhood
It took me two tries to read this script because it kept making me nod off. I hope it's a cool movie though.
  • i'm so excited to see a trailer for this
  • Josh
Anyone notice the scar around Pitt's neck?
  • Looks like he tried to hang himself...
  • Joshmayhood
I think the backstory deals with him getting lynched in Tennessee
  • Vincent Vega is GOD
Man this looks like teh shiz !!!!!1111

its like Shinder's List meets Jackie Brown. Maybe it'll show like nazis getting cut in half with katanas by hot asian chicks. QT is my hero. cannot wate! I get a chubby just thinking about this. hop it makes it to Cans.

I think this movie is going to be tarantinos best work...... i have a feeling Pitt is going to kill in this movie and it just going to be great....i cannot wait im a huge tarantino fan and i love every piece of work he does..
  • I am pumped for this. WWII is interests me very much and to see such a creative director take the helm of this period is really exciting. This should be awesome!
  • mr beige
Looks good, a lot of people have said the script is boring , but could be just an early draft.
  • I have read the script that has been released for 'IB' (150+ pages) online three times, and it never gets boring for me! The way Quentin can develop characters within one scene alone is memorizing (take the first scene we see Bridget) and I hope he stays as true to his script as possible.
  • Why is Brad Pitt's facial expression so awesome in that first pic?
  • Elissa
Because BP is freaking hilarious! I don't think he gets the cred he deserves. I'm super excited to see this film.
  • Duval
how many movies will he rip off in this one?
  • name a director i will tell you who they ripped off.

  • FUCK YEAH new qt film yes, thank you god.

I can't believe that this movie pits Jews against Nazis in a revenge thriller. It looks like the idea is to show that Jews can be just as brutal, ruthless and unconscienceable about violence as the Nazis. This film is bringing the Jews down to the Nazi's level. This is another black eye for Jewish people everywhere, as it helps to depict Jews as violent and vindictave people. I'm sure many will defend the film as harmless 'payback.' But I feel that the image if Eli Roth as a bat-wielding head-smashing Jew bent on revenge will do a lot of damage for the impression non-Jews will now make of Jewish folks. Now you can really say, that Jews are no better than any of us. Maybe Tarintino should go the extra mile and show Jews torturing Nazis. Does anyone feel better for watching something like this?
